Do you think it's important to let entrepreneurs fail when it's avoidable?

I'm just curious what some of your opinions are... I deal with consulting a lot of new entrepreneurs and small businesses in my side work doing graphics/web, also generally just mentoring friends and being involved in that community. For example, in the last week - I have a friend who asked me...

Love this, and you're absolutely right about the learning experience. You learn more in a year than you have your whole life.

Great points... you do have to be careful to not be average at a lot of things rather than amazing at your goal. I'm wary sometimes to quote Grant Cardone - but if you're going to have a problem, it should be that you have too many opportunities, not too little.

Definitely hear what you're saying - you do have to exercise a large amount of common sense lol. Not making idiotic short-sighted decisions, but going into opportunities you are afraid of or are unsure of and learn along the way.

Just an update/rant for those who may benefit! Lately, I just say "yes" , or do things, before I even know how. Once you're forced to do things you're not ready for, not only does it ensure things get done, but it gives you an interesting look at the problem. I find this rule benefits you more...

Feedback needed/updates for those who may learn from my journey.

    MARKETING RANT
Just wanted to drop a quick update for those who may possibly learn stuff as my journey progresses, or give possible feedback. I started coding my HR software a year ago, got it out there, no one was very interested - I made a shift toward a need I heard for an easy-to-use intranet software...

Are there laws around saying your product is "The world's best".

I know this sounds very "door to door salesguy" or "pitchy" - but I, as someone who has worked in the industry I serve, really believe that our software is the world's best franchise intranet. In my marketing, I say a lot of- "the world's most advanced intranet solution", or "the easiest...

How do you deal with disbelievers?

    MINDSET RANT
Thanks MJ! Also kind of random but can you tell me the author of your recommended read "Transform your habits". Wrote down that I wanted to read it but didn't write down the author, and can't find the chapter where you mentioned the authors name. The title's not on amazon or not in book stores.

Yea - going to just call the VP tomorrow and see what's up. And it was dumb on my end to include the custom stuff in the 30 day clause. Lessons learned there! Even got specific insurance that these guys requested lol.

It's interesting how when you're caught up in the excitement of doing business, you forget things you already know. So , my software business has excitedly taken on our second client. Pitched our custom franchise-focused intranet solution to the Vice President of a company - he loves it, says...

How do you deal with disbelievers?

    MINDSET RANT
Overwhelmed with the great advice! It's great to hear, even when you already know it. I come from a family with pretty limited beliefs, and as much as I love my girlfriend, we met when I was a sidewalker and I need to try to break her out of her limited beliefs as well. But anyway, when you...

How do you deal with disbelievers?

    MINDSET RANT
Thanks for the advice all. I guess it's just a weird feeling doing this for the first time lol - not a lot of people know what it's like hyperventilating outside of your bosses office for hours trying to get up the courage to say "I quit" and having your family tell you you're making a mistake...

I'm sorry if this one has been discussed before or if I am ranting- but I am curious how some of you have dealt with non-believers and doubters in your lives. Both my parents and my girlfriend are as slowlane as they get - work boring jobs during the day and complain at night about how much...

Custom Website vs Landing Page Softwares

    WEB/DIGITAL
Hey all! I would be very grateful for feedback from for those who have insight - there seems to be a lot of buzz around these landing page sales funnel type services out there - instead of designing a website from scratch you use some sort of easy to create landing page with sales funnels...
