Logistics of pre-sales for a product that hasn't been manufactured yet

I was planning to do that by going to the groups of people who need my product the most and letting them know it exists. In my product validation phase, I found that people were prone to gobble up this product, unprompted, as soon as they knew it existed. I also see really strong sales...

Logistics of pre-sales for a product that hasn't been manufactured yet

Yeah that's a good point about the expenses of getting the sales. I mean, so far, those expenses have been under $100. And I was going to try to start by getting the site in front of my target customers in ways that didn't cost any money. But yeah, if I started running any paid ads, then...

Logistics of pre-sales for a product that hasn't been manufactured yet

I could fund it without pre-sales, if I place a minimum order. But it would put me in a fairly serious pinch financially. I guess the reason I wanted to presell it was to reduce the amount of savings I had to front, and hedge against the risk that I could end up with a bunch of product that...

Logistics of pre-sales for a product that hasn't been manufactured yet

I just set up the site like a normal ecommerce site, but I just tried to make it clear that their order wouldn't be shipped right away. The homepage says, "Now being pre-sold as the first batch of [products] are being manufactured." The button copy says "Pre-order now" The product description...

Logistics of pre-sales for a product that hasn't been manufactured yet

I've been talking with a manufacturer in Mexico to get a quote for a product I've developed. They gave me the quote today and the prices seem good to me. I put up a Shopify site and was thinking of running some ads to the site to presell the product and then ship it once it arrives. This...

Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, it has been wonderful to have this very supportive community. I think that line is SO true - "Logically, I know it's fine. Emotionally, it's just a lot." I think it's the emotional component that really gets me. I watched this video recently that made the...

    Hello from Venezuela

¡Bienvenido! Glad you're here, Daniel. I think you'll find a lot of like-minded people here. Of all places to need to have mental toughness and overcome obstacles, I think Venezuela is probably up towards the top of the list. How are things there currently? Any particular sort of business...

When I was younger, I thought I was really great. I felt like I was so capable. I could do anything I set my mind to. I felt like I had never even remotely tapped into my full potential. I hated the idea of weakness, dependence, and reliance on others. I had boundless stores of energy...

Thanks for the kind words, Andy! I never cease to admire the number of people you help. You've been a huge part of my story. I was thinking back to how I nonchalantly wrote that I never even had to file for unemployment because I completely replaced my income. And the contrast struck me...

Thanks for the encouragement! Yeah, I haven't had enough hikes and outdoor stuff in the past few years. Definitely need to get that going again. Start a "self-care" fund and fund it with days to go outside and hike.

Getting Sued For $70,000 (With Zero Assets or Funds)

    HOT!
At this point, I'd say their perspective is harrassment. This is the third time now that they've threatened to sue if they don't get $X Payment by [Deadline]. Two of those deadlines have already passed with no action on their part. How many times do they need to fail to follow through on...

OK my progress update has been LONG overdue. This will be really good for me to just write out, even if only to keep a written record for myself. Hopefully it'll be useful in some way to others as well. Since this is long, if you want to skim it, you'll get the gist of everything by reading...

    Kyle Keegan Radio Show

    NOTABLE! HOT! EXECUTION
I thought it was humorous how the transcription of your podcast spelled "Bolsheviks" on a number of occasions. Kinda actually applies... Side note - you mentioned the bookstore at the beginning and end of the last episode, but when I tried to pull it up just now (using Google Chrome if it's...

Reverse yelp. Useful for contractors, service providers, big ticket clients, etc.

    HOT!
Think through the implications of running afoul of libel laws. A customer whose behavior earns them a position on your site is also going to be the kind of person who won't hesitate to do whatever it takes to make your life miserable. And suing for libel is an easy one. Many people sue even...

Help needed if this copy for fiverr GIG is good

    SIDE HUSTLE
This video was amazing. LOLOL "I know someday I will eat your house" "I will ask my father to cook my mother." If it's a value skew, then I take back my comment. I can see how that would be a differentiator. I think a good way to handle it is to say, "fluent" English (rather than...

Help needed if this copy for fiverr GIG is good

    SIDE HUSTLE
100k's version is good. Be aware there is one grammatical error here, which contradicts the statement, "I speak perfect English." Should say "suppliers" and be followed with a period or a semicolon ( ; ) not a comma. A few additional thoughts if you want to test am alternate version to try to...
