How to come up with a business idea you'll enjoy

    IDEA
I don't know @Get Right I've been giving this some thought. Saying following your passions doesn't always lead to success isn't the same as saying you should always follow something that your dispassionate about. Even on Shark Tank investors tend to go with what they're familiar with and tend...

Have you had your "FTE"? (Or Was it an FTM?!)

    GOLD! MINDSET FTE CHAT
I don't think it was a single event but rather a build up of related events. Graduating with a Masters (and 60k in student loans). Ending up as bartender. Doing a sick job. Outworking and outperforming and outsmarting everyone. Getting promoted. Twice. Within a year time. I'm one of the...

I Faked My Way to the Top of Paris Fashion Week

    MINDSET
Just watched it. Pretty interesting and insightful. I guess all it takes is guts. And fake it 'til you make it is true, to some extent.

    Earning $11,000 vs. $60 in a Day (A tale of Fastlane/Slowlane)

    HOT! MINDSET SLOWLANE
So I just came across this Youtube video and I had to share it with the people here. It's so insightful and so exemplary of so many different things that are part of the transformation we're all trying to make here. Bottom Line - S1E1 Very interesting to see the contrasts. What stood out...

Business ideas don't happen in a vacuum

    IDEA
Ok, "not getting anywhere" is an overstatement. Since six months I've been the one in charge of events at the restaurant/bar I work at. Events is a big space. Lots of opportunities. Plenty that could be made to comply with CENTS. One that's interesting would be night life music events. Mainly...

Business ideas don't happen in a vacuum

    IDEA
I think one of the reasons for this phenomenon is that we hear MJ and a lot of entrepreneurs say things along the lines of: "You gotta work hard. Execute, execute, execute. Twelve hours straight, 30 days a month." So how do we reconcile this message and the message of this thread? @eliquid...

Business ideas don't happen in a vacuum

    IDEA
Wow. This thread and all your posts are gold. Thank you guys. This describes my current situation to a tee. Read TMF and just finished Unscripted. So last couple days I've been in "idea searching mode". Thinking, reflecting, re-reading sections, brainstorming. Trying to come up with a business...

    Skin health

    HEALTH
"Super foods" are another short cut scam by the way. The thought that eating this one magical berry found in the high mountains of some exotic land cultivated by the priests of indigenous tribes is all it takes... There is no shortcut. You just have to do the process. In the context of...

    Skin health

    HEALTH
It's not about what you put on your body. It's about what you put in your body. Eat tons and tons of veggies and fruits. As in 80% of your diet. The other 20% should be oat meal, rice, (sweet) potatoes, quinoa. Eat everything as simple and unprocessed as possible. The closer the food is to its...

    I've Read UNSCRIPTED!

    GOLD! HOT!
Finished Unscripted today. What a book. It covers everything TMF covers and more, and it goes deeper on pretty much everything. I like that Unscripted gives a framework. It gives structure. It lays out the entire process. This allows me as a reader to identify where I am in the journey and...

Hey thanks for addressing those specific points @Late Bloomer ! And thanks for opening my eyes to the possibilities and being a positive voice :) I’ll look up those articles too As a job I already liked this path. But I'm also each day more convinced now that this is also a path that I can...

So now I get what you’re saying. And I agree. No need is truly validated unless the transaction is done. I was just trying to illustrate a shift in perception though. One that is a prerequisite for said transactions.

Vegan / Vegetarians Only (Chat about lifestyle, opportunities, food, whatever...)

    NOTABLE!
I was thinking on this too. Maybe a product that helps people with the shift to vegan. Or a product or service that helps owners of vegan focused companies. A unique problem they have. Or maybe not even a unique problem, but just focusing on them as your niche and therefore understanding and...

Starting (and Fastlaning) a lawn care service business

    GOLD! HOT!
Feel your frustration mate. Been there. Still am there often (as a manager, as a owner it must be worse even). I can only advise you to develop some managing skills and mindsets. Humans are not robots. You must be a psychologist. Treating each one as a unique code to be cracked. And develop...

    Affirmations and Goal Visualization

    MINDSET
Very interesting topic. I would say that achieving certain changes in life require a change in mindset; the way we think and our beliefs. Growing into a leadership position at work for example. Being a leader requires a very different outlook on life and relationships and groups etc. etc. It's...

Since reading TMF I've been shifting attention to the needs of those around me. What are they saying? What are they communicating? What do they want? What could I help them with? How can I give them value? A lot of times it's so easy. Just complimenting somebody on their appearance. Giving them...
