Below is the email I received from Dane Maxwell. What do you guys/gals think about this guy and this round table deal?:....

Holy moley! Over 90 of you
have applied to the software
roundtable...

And I've read each application.

Will you be one of the lucky 10 chosen?

You should be like Dane and create your own program and charge people $3K for it. Or $300. Or even $30.

Whatever you do, own the process. Don't just buy into an existing one.

If the program will deliver great actionable value that will help you earn an ROI then yes. I've personally bought 2,000 USD programs before and made every last cent back + with them in a few months and was completely satisfied.

You must remember that a lot of "members on this forum are inherently "cheap" and greatly undervalue information because of their own lack of executing on information they currently own.

Yet ironically many of them would spend 80,000 USD+ on getting a degree for a major that has no real market value. Go figure.

Sounds solid to me. I believe there will be $3k of value there IF it is right for you to build an online business making software. If you're lying to yourself and chasing money, then it will be a rip-off.

Thanks for all of your comments.

I am not chasing money. I am planning on developing software. I have figured out most of it and done a lot of research with future customers. What I need help with is finding a good programmer like he did and managing time, money and resources the way he did.

Most people here say to go with Odesk but Dane says that good coders don't hang around Odesk or Elance. They are too busy with all the projects they get, which makes sense. Below I will post the link to his interview.

Programmer cost is not my concern. I am more concerned with wasting time and money. I am not looking for the best programmer but a descent one with a track record.

This round table deal might not be a good idea for me because I only need help in one or two areas out of the 10-15 he will cover in this round table.

Finding and managing a programmer is not rocket science. And even with the best training in the world you have to get your hand dirty and actually find and manage a programmer.

You maybe can avoid some mistake, but you still will do some. And your development time will easily double (it always does with software projects).

If you have your software idea, jump in, check the "programmer for hire" website, use your mind and gut to choose your programmer and go.

I would definitely AVOID spending the money in the program. You can use it more productively for the meat of your business.
