I'm looking for a new domain and have 2 in mind.

The first has the word "market" in it and provides a pretty clear picture of what the website is for.

The second isn't as clear, but has over 1.5 million searches / month according to google.

The first only has a combined total of around 80,000 searches.

Is it better to go with something more clear, more popular, or forget about that part altogether and just pick one and focus on exceptional content to make the site memorable?

Both coasts. The west now.
This sounds odd but my friend brought up a good point the other day.
He goes sometimes it is better to be the term that is less searched.

I asked why, he goes you can rank a whole lot easier. Then explained that he would rather be in the top 5 results of something with way less searches than on page 20 of something that has a million.
