To take it a bit further than "a shop", I'd try thinking of ways to create a mobile detailing franchise as the ultimate goal. People who want to get into detailing themselves would be able to purchase a "kit" from your company to include trucks and/or trailers with all necessary tools, along with supplier account setup for materials.
Think Molly Maid for cars...that is where the fastlane principles would apply. You focus on advertising and automating...not buffing paint.

If there are more soccer mom's, then we need a car wash that has guys in bathing suits. Just giving them what they want
I run an Aircraft Detailing Company,3 locations.
I would be happy to answer any questions, :coffee:
Well from What I have learned so far is aim for the sky,it earns great money,as long as you aim for frequency and perfection. Being known and trusted is a big thing as well.
my Business is slowly growing again, December wasn't as busy as it was in the fall or Summer, This isn't my Fastlane vehicle yet, I am using this company for good income and to gear me towards a Strong Capitol to another more Fastlane venture in the Aviation Industry.
I think its very important to aim big!
Did I mention I'm 17?

sorry for going off topic, OP!
I do just started an Auto Detailing business this year, its slow right now but I am getting what I used to get payed at my job even a little more and in way ! less hours. I have a questions for all you guys that did auto detailing, where can I promote my detailing business I do craigslist, backpage, googlemaps, yellowpages, leave business cards everywhere but this doesnt seem to be enough its still a slow ! Any suggestions ?
1. Having a web site that is rank in the top three on Google.
I been in the mobile auto detailing business for over 10 years. With the cost of fuel you need to market high end detailing, car washes is not going cut it. You make the most money when your not driving to you next job, so doing multiple cars in one location is best. I have added residential carpet cleaning which is more profitable than detailing. 1. Having a web site that is rank in the top three on Google.
2. Stay in contact with your customer with emails and post cards
3. Go business to business asking in person if anyone needs there car clean, RV parks, door to door, simi trucks dealerships etc.
4. Don't waste you money on yellowbook ads.
You do realize that this thread has been dead for over 3 YEARS now, don't you?? Or are you just trying to promote / get backlinks to your site??
