Hey folks,

Just wanted to share some interesting video I accidentally stumbled on YouTube.

It's an interesting story of how a guy went from working full time job to launching his own business on the side.

I just proves the point that you don't need to have an "online biz" to make some cash.

Hope it helps wantraprenuers out.

I think it's important to point out that this guy worked for/with the guy who started the actual business. Getting work experience in what you plan to do is so crucial. It's also why so many people recommend working under someone for free or minimum wage to gain that experience. Working alongside someone for free can save and make you thousands in mistakes and avoided headaches and allow you to scale quickly.

It’s true. That’s the main benefit of working for a family business IMO.
I’ve never been given any kind of free money and I have no ownership, but being expected to work at the same place for years, starting as a kid, for little pay, put me on track to actually know something about the company now that I’m older. Experience is invaluable.

Agreed.

The best opportunities that I see nowadays are in hardlines, with "online" being a support tool. Heck, even my next book will be about someone building a physical product based business.

physical produt based business is actually my area of specialisation, I simply make money virtually from waste woods. I encourage entrepreneurs or researchers to dig deeper into waste management/ recycling.

Yes this is where I belong. But the major challenge in this area is financial especially if you are starting from scratch or invented a new process. You would have to do a lot of things on your own and make your self rich before people would think of partnership or investment with you or even lending you. In fact the challenges in this area of business are enormous but it pays more.
