In Unscripted , MJ outlines his “Paycheck Pot” (Money Systems) which is a portfolio of blue chip dividend paying stocks REITs, MLPs and other investments.
The Paycheck POT is a super impressive, diversified portfolio of dividend paying instruments yielding approx. 4% per annum.
MJ’s readers (and many non-readers) would be interested in replicating MJ’s Paycheck POT.
Idea 1: Paycheck POT monthly newsletter subscription.
MJ could publish a monthly update setting out the instruments that make-up the Paycheck POT.
The information could include the relevant securities, stop loss price (if any) and take profit target (to apply the “3 Years in 3 months rule”) and any change he has made to the portfolio.
Potential gross income:
Annual subscription fee: $300.00 (a bargain for the information provided)
Subscribers: 1,000.
Gross income: 300,000.00
Idea 2: Automated Paycheck POT service
Collective 2 provides a service where people (Followers) can copy the trades made in a third person’s broker account (Signal Provider).
MJ could make his account a Signal Provider and charge people to follow it.
For this to work you would need people to have a large account balance as Collective 2 charge $89 fee.
Followers would need to pay $89 fee plus whatever fee MJ imposed as Signal Provider.
For both Ideas 1 and 2, you are probably dealing with a limited audience that has sufficient funds to be interested in the service.
Assuming a follower needs a $50k account to make Idea 1 feasible, if you had 500 subscribers, you still gross $150,000.00.
A final idea: A newsletter for his option trading recommendations (I would subscribe to that for sure)
