Hi,

I’m currently an electrical engineer having worked at a consultancy firm just over a year out of university. I have a skill for thinking innovatively and this has led me to build a software tool for my firm last year which got sold to a client for about $30k however another senior engineer was given the credit. Just 2 months ago I developed an investment data analytics tool for a renewable energy client and the project manager forced me to hand over all the code to the client. Given these experiences and the shitty 2-3% salary rise im expecting, I kept on telling my parents I felt like I had the potential of a formula 1 but I was stuck in second gear. The company director saw my potential and has welcomed me as R&D lead of the firm but I’ve quickly realised that I’m there to be milked for my ideas. A few days ago a friend recommended Millionaires Fastlane and I just finished reading it yesterday. I’ve now reignited my dreams and keen to get out there to do my own thing :).
