Hey all,
I spent a few weekends creating a browser-based game focused on a small town in regional Australia. The app is basically a minimal copy of Bitlife (it's 100% text-based and focuses on roleplaying a person from the remote Australian town -- it's slightly crude/offensive).
I won't share the name here to prevent being flagged as spam.
I'm a software engineer and created the game as a way to experiment with a hosting platform (Netlify). Surprisingly, the game has started to pickup traction. Gizmodo wrote an article about the game, which brought in about 3K users. About 400-500 users play the game every day.
I suspect the game is getting most users from word of mouth. The town has about 20K residents, and it's a very popular topic with locals.
I don't really know what to do from here. The game is still in a MVP status (it needs about 100 dev hours to get it polished enough to consider production-ready). I would like to pursue the idea, but it's a pretty odd concept and I don't know if there's real potential or just a very niche interest.
Any feedback, comments, suggestions would be appreciated!
