Hi everyone,

I am looking to private label my own health supplement. I have narrowed down a list of local contract manufacturers to approach.

I have a couple of questions:

1. How do I approach them as an individual, without coming off as a complete noob? I have not even incorporated a company yet as I would like to obtain a few hundred samples first to do market validation. Would the lack of a business entity affect my credibility in negotiation?

2. I would also like to formulate a proprietary blend of ingredients for my product - would I need to get the manufacturer to sign an NDA for this?

Thank you all in advance.

1) You need to get everything together business wise before you come to them for a purchase. They are going to require you to give certain info before they take you seriously. There is too much that could go wrong for a manufactureer to just work with anyone. So get all your ducks in a row.
2) You CAN approach them with a NDA, but they have no obligation to sign it lol.
