I'm curious if anybody on here has ever grown an app startup and what his marketing strategy behind it was.
I know that spending a lot of money on marketing won't bring you far.
Having a service that people want is key of course.
But how did you boost the initial downloads?
We're building a "marketplace" app and the users are dependent on other users being on the app.
And we're creating a waiting list after the signup process and will go live when we exceed a threshold of users in a "zone".
Let's exchange ideas.
