I'm 16 years old, I have $28.80 in my pocket, and I'm ready to be an Entrepreneur - Advice Welcome

    INTRO
For me, I visited Indeed.com and searched jobs within 10 miles of my current location to find a sales gig. Prior to joining the fencing company, I had started attending Business Networking International (BNI) to rub elbows and meet local business owners (as I had one myself). That opened up the...

I need to give that a shot. Welcome to the forum! Can't imagine what I'd be doing now if I had found TMF in 2000 (well, probably seeking the person who brought value by building a time machine). To add what others have said, find a sales gig. Outdoor service companies (fencing, roofing...

    The Mental Battle of Entrepreneur

That video helped me out a lot last year when I was starting out, back when my change was new to everyone around me. Thanks for posting

    Prerequisites to quitting a job?

    MINDSET
That is a plus. In my experience, the first two years of a kid are void of free time. While your wife earns enough for the both of you, keep in mind that seeing you day-in day-out working, not working, or appearing to not pull your share will wear on her. Even the most loving, understanding...

    I did something stupid today..

It'll be obvious who owns the prototype copy, for sure. You've brought to my attention that I need to stock better fabrics for tests lol

    I did something stupid today..

One side is by machine and the other is by hand (ladder stitch, like used in closing a pillow).

(Movie) The Founder (Ray Kroc McD's Story)

Is this was an example of Hollywood framing rich producers as evil as mentioned in Unscripted? Was Ray right in overcoming the people/obstacles that kept him from growing, by being persistent? Steve Jobs seems like a similar character

Need help on how to create my idea

    IDEA
If you have/had the technology to service anyone, why would you limit yourself on one industry? Sure, you can market to one, but the market is ultimately going echo what it needs, and in some cases, how they're going to use you. Which brings up another question: is the market demanding what you...

    Help: Should I give up?

You should give up, on doubting yourself. You have the drive to get this done. Just keep pressing on, one day at a time. When you get stuck, take a break, go for a walk/drive, and then come back to it with a fresh mind. Often, something clicks while you're off in deep thought (and motion).

    I did something stupid today..

..I took apart Bose QuietComfort2 noise cancelling headphones. The pleather headband was flaking apart on my head and neck anytime I used them. Today, I disassembled the cushion and covered it with Sunbrella Icon Pop outdoor material. Should be good for another 10+ years. I see a need that...

(Movie) The Founder (Ray Kroc McD's Story)

I think what made it a good movie was that it moved people to feel and had the human element, like a Pixar movie. He won, he lost, made hard decisions, was backed into a corner, and at times, did the same to others. In writing this, I was going to bring up 'he did this' and 'he did that,' but...

Moving from low to high production

You're going to enjoy Unscripted. It's one of those books that you'll go through many times. Very rich in content. As to you question, it does make sense. In your given scenario, you have the concept for PostIt notes. You'd most likely want to develop, not only the concept, but the process for...

F Tinder tell me where you men hang out at.

    HOT! PEOPLE
Wow, that makes so much sense. Simplifying it to places that draw people who are working on themselves and/or desirable traits eliminates the confusion of "where do i find the person for me." What a time saver!

I hope that, when you figure this out, you mail cheesecakes to the guys/gals who helped solve the issue :)

Amazon now has its own 'Instagram'

    MARKETING SOCIAL MEDIA
This was shared by Nir Eyal a few months ago: https://www.bcg.com/publications/2017/retail-globalization-china-reveals-future-shopping.aspx "Chinese consumers are eager to spend money—and they spend a lot of time shopping. In China, shopping is about more than just the transaction. It’s about...

Dealing with daily pressure of sales being 50% down

    MINDSET
I don't know you, your business, or what you're going through; I won't pretend to know. But I do know this: that you can do this, that you can be fearless, reduce your stress, and stare down the unknown. You're going to need to make some lists. You're going to need to simplify, to tell people...
