Who the heck are all these weird wannabe gurus now?

There are more lost souls out there than one might think. People with no direction in life and wanting to make a change, but don't have people around them to give them that kick. So they fall head over heels for the "I can help you succeed and be a winner" videos. I see it around me. People...

Anyone tried advertising on a Smart Car?

    MARKETING
I have seen several companies buy a Smart Car and put a full advertising wrap on it essentially turning it into a small rolling billboard. I was wondering if anyone has tried this and if you have noticed any additional inquires/business.

    GOLD!
Raoul Duke, you gave done an amazing job with your weight loss! But here is the most important question: What are you going to do to KEEP it off? My weight has been a roller coaster my entire life. I've lost 100lbs a year just to gain most of it back the next few years. And I did not go...

Right? Isn't that what makes a successful business owner? Tossing every limitation you have out the window and aligning yourself with the emotional and physical/service needs of the customer.

    John D. Rockefeller story

    MINDSET
This exactly what happened to me, but I was approved for a healthy 5 digit credit card. Helpful, yes, but I really need liquid as most of my purchases are from auctions. As far as the OP's thread goes, I Agree. It sometimes takes a certain type of KICK to get you into overdrive. This kick...

How many Business Failures did you have before success?

    NOTABLE! CHAT
I hate using the word fail. I prefer to see it as a discovery of how not to do things. Oh and sometimes you need to find a lot of the wrong ways of doing things before you finally find the right way of doing it. There will always be trial and error from choosing the best stapler to having to...

Where do I start educating myself to become an entrepreneur?

As others have mentioned you MUST take action. Hey I've been there, too. I read a few books, I got excited, and I reached a point where I realized I was spending more time on books than actually starting a business. Oh and starting a business can be very daunting. You question yourself with...

    How do I Start?

Well that greatly depends now doesn't it. Is it a tangible product or a software product? If you are a developer with a software idea, it will not take long for you to whip up a prototype at home to have family and friends try out and get feedback from. But if it is a tangible product with...

    Weight management

    HEALTH
My problem is I get immense headaches if I ride out this wave you are referring to. I have to have some type of snack whether it be healthy or not. The moment my stomach starts to grumble I know I need to feed it something quick. Otherwise, I will get a headache that will affect my entire...

Is customer service a good competitive advantage

    HOT!
The way customer service affects you is greatly dependent on your needs/availability of that company. Say you have only the option of 2 cable providers in your area, and you know you are with the company that offers the better packages for the better prices. Even if they have the worst...

List of Books Mentioned in Unscripted?

Is there anywhere a list of the books MJ mentions in Unscripted? Sadly, they are not listed in the back of his book. Every so often he mentions a book that is a great read that I also find interesting, and I always tell myself I'll get back to the page but then dont get the chance to do so...

Which website builder should I use?

    HOT!
I use Adobe Muse. Ive been using it for several years. Sadly, Adobe announced they will no longer be supporting it in a few years, but I have not found an equivalent to it. I really like the editing of mobile vs desktop side by side, there are tons of templates available, and tons of widgets...

Examples of Passion/Hobbies Fueling Your Entrepreneurship

Exactly. And the one feature I have noticed of these others that I met is their very forward but friendly personalities. Exactly how I am. I think of how this has helped them maintain a loyal customer base. It truly is a shame when one losses the passion for their hobby, but my mechanic is...

Examples of Passion/Hobbies Fueling Your Entrepreneurship

There is always talk about how one should never let something such as a hobby or passion for something fuel your spirit for starting a company. And I totally understand how this can be problematic in ways such as either not seeing the necessity of the customer or providing a resolution to a...
