Starting a shampoo business [HELP NEEDED]

The need can already be fulfilled in many ways. For years I've been washing my hair with a bar of soap from the organic store. Works very well. People also use flour (sic!) for washing and many apply apple cider vinegar as a conditioner. Soap bars already come in countless "flavours"...

Is 2.5k$ on domain name worth it? Facts inside

    HOT!
For 2.5k you get another domain name (that is available) plus a custom made website. I'd never pay for a domain. With just a little creativity, there is always an available domain name.

Try both, see what works for you. It depends heavily on country, target audience, etc. You can also try and find out where they network, meet them in person. You don't want to interact with developers from remote countries. For it to produce good results, you will need to have a solid...

Another Control Lesson (China clones high profile app game, apple removes original)

From what we've seen so far, 99.9% of Chinese companies do not innovate on top of what they copied. Their research is limited to finding out whom to copy next. Huawei is where they are today, because they have an annual research budget of $15bn.

Another Control Lesson (China clones high profile app game, apple removes original)

I see your point. For me innovation is driven by user demand. I listen to what the users want and implement it. If I was concerned about somebody copying me, I could spend extra time on listening to my users. But it wouldn't create new ways of innovating. Just the same way but under higher...

You forward the lead to the developer and collect your commission. Technical stuff you do not want to concern yourself with.

    HOT!
That sounds like building up a web agency. For me the approach outlined in this thread is not fastlane. It's something that allows you to work flexibly, pays good money and teaches you to think in terms of needs and wants. It gives you the freedom and space to build something fastlane.

The latter is what I have experience with. It is easy to convince developers of it, because it requires no investment on their side. You just give them the qualified lead and wait for your commission to be paid. Which obviously requires some trust on your part. How would you imagine a...

As mentioned above, I target businesses that already have a website. They don't need to be sold on the general idea of a website, only the idea of a new one. Fear generally works well for any kind of selling and google provides good tools for striking it into their hearts. Most older websites...

Doing it yourself would again mean investing time in learning a technical skill. Time you could better spend on selling websites and making money. Oursourcing is very difficult, as 99.9% of the cheap developers suck balls. Even if you manage to find a good one, running them well is still a...

My background is in tech, I've been developing software for something like 20 years. For the past three years I've been growing a freelance website business (i.e. I already knew how to code). And only in the recent past have I learned that a mediocre website with great sales earns heaps more...

So you want to learn how to program websites? Good. Don't. You can spend hundreds of hours on teaching yourself the basic skills. Then you will be on the same level as half the Indian subcontinent. Only they are willing to work for a fistful of dollars per day. You won't be very good at...

Knowledge is power but ignorant people seem happier. I'm empty.

    MINDSET
Taking care of myself is my baseline, it's the default setting. It's what I aim to do when I get up in the morning. Be it sitting lazily in the café for half an hour or working at the desk for my business. It's something I'm doing for me. What took me a long long time to realize is that I'm in...

    MINDSET
Volunteering can be a nice thing. And it can also be a selfish thing, serving to provide you with attention and a feeling of worth. In that case, it'll just be another addiction. Like alcohol, shopping, etc. I have experience with therapy and feel that its job is to make me healthy, not to give...

    Estonian e-Residency

With a traditional bank, no. With Transferwise, yes. For me the bank account functions mostly as a thoroughfare. Most revenue the company makes, I draw out by billing matching amounts from my freelance business (quite common to do that, apparently). That way there is never much floating around.
