Start up Giving away percentage of profits to Charity

Has anyone ever launched a startup and gave away a percentage of profits to charity from the get-go? Or introduced it further down the line? I'm seriously considering doing this but would like some feedback from others if possible who have been there and done it. My new brand/company is going...

    You’re not selling wholesale?

Very true. However my product is required by someone going on holiday so therefore very relevant. My facebook ads are also targeted to people interested in Travel. I am also running facebook ads offering people my product free of charge.

    You’re not selling wholesale?

    NOTABLE!
At the moment i have 6000 from last 4 weeks which has cost me around £800.00 in facebook ads. I'm running a free competition to win a 4 night holiday using tool called Upviral which encourages customers to share the competition on their social media pages in order to be given extra entrees into...

    You’re not selling wholesale?

    NOTABLE!
I have started building an email list via facebook ads so that as soon as the inventory hits Amazon i will already have a list of 20,000 targeted customers who i can offer my product to immediately at discount price. This will increase Amazon rank via sales and also reviews. Previously when i...

Excellent thread @Scot and thanks to @amp0193 for posting the link in another thread and also contributing. At what stage of the brand launch process would you target wholesale customers? I'm still at early stage (waiting for samples) but i'd expect to have stock in the next 2-3 months. During...

You Can Die Today Wasting Time on BullSht

Absolutely spot on. In fact i'm in the process of launching a brand that doesn't rely solely on Amazon but will use as a sales channel. I'm gonna print this out and stick it above my desk.

    What are your beliefs?

    MINDSET
Lately i've been consciously thinking about how i see the world and what i believe in. In a couple of years i'll be 40 and i think i've spent enough time on this planet to get a true reading of my own values and beliefs from the experiences i've been through so far. Of course what i believe in...

    Morning routines

    OFF-TOPIC
I've been thinking a lot lately on how my time is spent. Everyone from the people who have nothing to the Billionaires of the world get exactly 24 hours each day. The important part is how you spend it. I have realised however that willpower isn't there 24 hours a day and diminishes as the day...

    Work/life balance

    MINDSET
Fortnite is my children’s hobby not mine! Hobby wise apart from watching football (soccer) I don’t do anything else these days. I used to play soccer also but as my friends got older the started to drop out one by one. My biggest passion is travel. Unfortunately I can’t do that every week or...

    Work/life balance

    MINDSET
I do actually run my business from home. I've never actually "worked" for anyone since i left school 22 years ago. I am currently in the process of launching a new brand. One of the products my 7 year old son has designed for himself and my factory is making him a sample as a gift. Hopefully it...

The weekdays don’t really bother me. I’m working and don’t get time to think. It’s the weekends when I want to have a break from the boredom sets in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for your reply. We’re actually going to Spain in 3 weeks and have 4-5 holidays a year which we are all grateful for and enjoy. It’s the time in between that I have difficulty with! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m finding the work/life balance really difficult to adjust to. It’s nearly the end of another weekend and this is how I’ve spent my weekend. Friday night my Wife was out for works meal whilst I minded my 7 and 9 year old boys. They played fortnite in different rooms until it was bed time. I...

Great story so far. Congratulations on your success. I like how you prioritise your tasks. I really need to do something like this (I use asana) but i always struggle to put them in the right category. I will try to implement your method this week as i'm spending too much time procrastinating...

My opinion of the Amazon Marketplace

    NOTABLE!
Excellent post and 100% correct. In fact @biophase and myself where having the same discussion about this on Facebook a couple of weeks back. The importance of building a brand rather than launching one off random products reliant on amazon cannot be understated in my opinion. Sent from my...
