Bringing Product/Idea to Market with No Capital...???

    IDEA
Each method is likely to earn you roughly the same amount of money...none. If you have no capital, then you aren't likely to patent your concept. As soon as you show it to a likely buyer, without the threat of patent protection, they will copy it and run to market. If you manage to arrange a...

That was fascinating, thanks. I love simple solutions!

    Uber is self-destructing from within

I can't imagine how this would work in the USA. Gender equality is such a hot topic, that restricting the service to female customers only, will certainly end up in court!

Canadian business, how to pay U.S. employee?

If you have an accountant that you use already, ask him/her. If not, it's probably time to find one. Ask for referrals and try to find an accountant that has some experience in this area. It will take some time/effort, but it may be the only way to get it done.

    MORE Uber problems

If indeed Uber is using software to defraud their customers & drivers, then that's a crime that needs punished. The class action suit should be revealing. However, a quick search suggests that police don't record offenses that occur in cabs or ubers in a manner that can provide useful...

    General Question and Possibly Debate

I'm surprised that no one has chimed in here. My opinion is that you should start your own company and sell your own product. If the opportunity is as large as you believe it is, you had better be extremely careful in your discussions of the product and sharing of IP. Figures that large tempt...

What are the Preferred B2B Payment Methods?

As the title suggests, what have you found to be the best Business to Business payment/receivable methods? My company operates in the B2B world, and will be supplying a manufactured good to other companies. There are typically 1 time charges for engineering/setup/tooling and per part charges...

Person claims its immoral to be rich

    HOT!
I'd bet that the author of this statement is struggling to pay his/her rent, is still paying off a bunch of student loans, and/or knows someone dying of some painful medical condition that is being paid for in it's entirety by the insurance company...which is essentially being paid by other...

First time creating my own product to sell on Amazon

    EXECUTION
Yes, this is clearly a single cavity mold that will produce 15 pcs "or maybe more". They really won't know how many pieces it can produce until they've made and used it. They will continue using the mold and pulling parts out until the mold is worn and part quality has diminished. Glad you got...

Suggestions to market/get the word out for my student storage business

    MARKETING
Have you had any sales yet? Have you contacted any local students and gotten any sales there? My suggestion is to start small and start local. If it takes off, it could expand to other locations but first you might need to actually get out there and talk to people. A website might be helpful...

First time creating my own product to sell on Amazon

    EXECUTION
Yes. If it's a single cavity mold (and if it can only produce 25 pcs before wearing out) then they will charge $221 for the mold & $1.99 for each part...for a total of $270.75 for 25 pcs. That's essentially $10.83 per part. If you need to order another 25 pieces, start the process over because...

So does it sound like this customer is scamming me?

In our part of the country (the midwest) the USPS is the worst way to ship a package. Our UPSP mail and/or packages are regularly delivered to the wrong address. BTW, @MoreVolume, I often write emails in the middle of the day when my JOB has a momentary break. Beware what you assume about your...

First time creating my own product to sell on Amazon

    EXECUTION
I certainly could be wrong, but it sounds to me like these are single cavity molds of 2 different materials (small mold = cheapest mold material, large mold = better mold material) All molds have a limited life cycle, and these low cost molds don't last very long. My follow-up question would be...

Guidance required for using License of other brands

I'm sorry that wasn't clear. I'm not suggesting you start using their IP without their approval...but that you just start selling product. THEN, once you've got some sales, you can go to them and negotiate to use their IP (as a viable seller with real sales). You'll be more confident and you'll...

Now that's customer service that SUCS! I'm sure it will pay off in the long run. Thanks for the reminder. Contrast that with the most recent example of customer service that SUCKS: We provide excellence CUSTOMER disSERVICE!

How to change mindset into being more single-Minded

    MINDSET
You've received some great responses thus far. They have been so good, that it's hard to pick my favorite. I'll just add the following thread regarding "moral selfishness": Greed is Good I'll also pull out a suggestion for a book that helped me better understand the concept.
