3D Printing as a business...does it make CENTS?

    HOT!
Thanks guys. Looks like a major theme is that I'm going to need to get a higher end printer (I was prepared to spend a few thousand) and that I should look into fixing things that break. That's a pretty good idea. It's not sexy, it's not a business an internet guru is going to make an online...

3D Printing as a business...does it make CENTS?

    HOT!
That's one of my concerns. I know there are some really cheap printers now, but from what I understand there's still a little bit of extra work with those compared to the higher end printers (extra calibrating, sanding, etc.). Maybe we're still a few years away from them being really...

3D Printing as a business...does it make CENTS?

    HOT!
While I was exploring ways to get prototypes made for a product I discovered 3D printing and love the potential 3D printing has. I've searched the forums looking for threads about 3D printing as a business but haven't found many. I know @Vick has a thread on the Inside, but unfortunately, I'm...

How to get rid of scarcity/jealousy/comparison of other's success?

    MINDSET
This has changed my life. Still is. Also, I like to remember that the reason we struggle is because we compare our behind-the-scenes with everyone else’s highlight reel.

Welcome, and congrats on the success you've already had! Finish reading the books. Then just relax and realize you're only 14. You've got plenty of time ahead of you. If you do something that moves you forward every day, no matter how small it is, you'll be fine. I wish you the best!

Should I Drop Out of High School?

    HOT!
There were a couple of reasons. I felt like if I quit on high school, if I quit on something that everyone else around me was accomplishing, that everyone is supposed to accomplish, then where would it end? What would I give up on next? If I could justify dropping out of high school, what...

Should I Drop Out of High School?

    HOT!
I hated school too. Every part of it. I looked for every excuse not to finish like you're doing right now. I wasn't a good student, but I eventually sucked it up and graduated on time with everyone else. It was the only real option I had. Graduate. It might be hard, and it might take a lot...

What's a good part time job so that one can focus on fast-lane activities?

    EXECUTION
I'm a valet/bellman in a tourist town. Easy money. I move bags and park nice cars. Keeps me in pretty good shape as well. I get to interact with so many different types of people every day. My resort even has some millionaires and even a billionaire resident that I get to rub shoulders with...

Throwing my backpack over the fence. My AMZ FBA/Private Label Progress Thread.

    EXECUTION
It is. She's been fantastic and great to work with, but the price difference was too dramatic. If it was just me looking at the numbers I would assume I overlooked something or forgot something, but someone else looked it over for me as well.

    EXECUTION
Yeah, I couldn't believe it either. As far as I can tell, the new quote included everything the old quote did. I even had another set of eyes check it out for me. I'm still surprised the quotes were that much different, especially since the original forwarder was referred to me by another...

    Amazon FBA vs Self-Fulfillment

Thanks for taking the time to respond guys. I think the margins are too tight. With all the fees, shipping everything to Amazon and the PPC costs I don't think I'll be able to make my money back. To me, this is a large amount of money. I'm stuck in traffic in the slow lane right now so I'm...

    Amazon FBA vs Self-Fulfillment

Hey guys, pulling this question from my Progress Thread. Wanted to try to get more eyes on it so I can hear some opinions before moving forward. I'm almost ready to put in my large order for my product and make it all real! Well, maybe. My product is based on something I found on Etsy that...

FLASH UPDATE! Thanks to @Ronak I discovered I was being charged too much for freight. About $1500 too much. This changes a lot. He sent me to www.freightos.com and icontainers.com which are excellent. I wish I knew about these from the start. Not sure why my forwarder was charging me so...

That is LCL. FCL was slightly more expensive but could end up being the most cost-effective depending on the space the order takes up. I will send you the info and let you have a go at it. I really appreciate it, thank you.

    EXECUTION
Production cost is $5,365 and the freight cost is $2,762. My freight forwarder was highly recommended to me by another member here on the forums so I trust them. It's coming by sea since it's a larger order. I'm not sure of any alternate options, but if you have any ideas they would...

I think they'll sell, but it has to be at the right price. At the price point I'll have to sell them at to even make a $1 profit, I don't think they'll sell. There's nothing on Amazon like it, but there are some on Etsy that I'm basing the price off of.

    EXECUTION
Progress Report 17 We finally got the money together. We got new quotes from the manufacturer and got an estimate from our freight forwarder. We ran all the numbers, and it doesn't look like it's going to be a profitable product. To make any sort of profit, we'd have to sell it at a price...

    Headaches and Fatigue

    HEALTH
I get my eyes examed every two years and the optician has never found anything wrong. Just have to go to the doctor to get them to rule out everything. Thanks for pointing out the MOH headaches. I've heard something about them before, but never looked into it. I definitely think this could...

    Headaches and Fatigue

    HEALTH
Thanks for all your support and feedback guys, I really love this place. Thanks, I'll give them a try. I've never had any testing done, unfortunately. I've had bad experiences with doctors that have turned me off to these types of things. Probably something I need to get over and go in...
