    Underachiever secrets theme

    WEB/DIGITAL
God damn, is that a long page. lol I imagine it's something they create for themselves. If you're interested to see how it's done, just check out the source. DO NOT just flat out copy, but see how they went about achieving it is never bad! If you have Chrome you can right click go to inspect...

How to deal with bad internet press.

Like which? I don't know of any that don't treat customers\people like shit. I think it's a great thing though. Businesses\websites are going to grow by people you know\interact with endorsing it rather than internet search engines. Someone you know\interact with liking something is a lot...

anyone ever outsource web designing to contractors in India?

    WEB/DIGITAL
Honestly there isn't a right (or even really good) answer for this.. One thing being, there are lots of horror stories of outsourcing to countries such as India. One that instantly sticks out was one where someone had to fix some code that was roughly 2.5 pages of code, that didn't work and...

    Steve Jobs - Biography

    EXECUTION
It's kind of a silly point to say if Steve Jobs was a different person he would have gotten into a different point in his life, no? I think it's safe to say anyone of success manipulates to some degree. And frankly depending on how I'd say it's not a big deal. The people who started Reddit...

    Starting a Flash Games Website?

    WEB/DIGITAL
Honestly, idk of anyone here that has openly talked about being in this space. So, I'm not sure if anyone here can give advice from experience.. On that note though here are my thoughts. The most important thing is: How would you be different than other flash game websites? Why would people...

PHX, I was expecting you to be my warm escape :(

    OFF-TOPIC
Ha, if I experienced that I'd probably die of heat stroke. It's a scorching 10 degrees, and -2 with wind chill today. And this is a warm day :( It's funny how that type of weather would be awesome right now for me and yet some people complain about it not being warm enough :P

Who is MJ and what is da book?

Post the question if you cannot find your answer. People take themselves "too serious" simply because far too often we DO get people who are either trolling or wasting our time. Once you get more involved people become a lot more relaxed. The approach tends to be "guilty until proven...

Changing my life to get back on the fastlane

If you're planning to drop out, why not just use the "free" food\room to your advantage instead of dropping out? -Take easy classes, and when you can help others with something they have problems with in exchange to copy work that is just a "time waster". -If you have one of those classes that...

Getting my ducks in a row

Disclaimer: I have no experience in physical product selling, but these are just some random thoughts of mine. Why not just write something that is clear as to why they cannot live without selling the product? No need for some formal bullshit - in fact think about all of those that they...

Brandable Domain Names Without a .com

    WEB/DIGITAL
Idk if I'm the exception, but even for "internet people" domains that aren't .com generally don't click for a while for me. About.me is just about the only one that clicked the first time I heard it. Delicio.us I didn't get until like a year ago, and even just typing that I had to really take...

What is the limitation of software?

Definitely much more easy to get a high level of accuracy with that. The difference with newspapers is they have a font that they use, and "matching up" the letters off of that is a pretty simple thing. Heck, the worst that'd happen if it cannot figure out a word, simply screen cap it, and...

What is the limitation of software?

This is something I'd think you'd need to hire a team for your company rather than just have some outside people create it. I can't imagine people being able to perfect reading handwriting, especially in the first go, so it'd be something with constant revisions. I don't have a clue as far as...

What is the limitation of software?

Of course it is "possible", but this is not something you'd want to outsource for the cheapest price. This is very difficult to do with an accuracy. Research optical character recognition (OCR). Here is a company I found quick that seems to be making software to read handwriting ICR and OCR...
