100 pushups x 1 month challenge
HOT! HEALTHGreat challenge! I can currently do about 10 push ups. Even if I did 10 sets of 10 over the course of the day, I would be too destroyed to continue. I think I will modify this challenge to try to work up to 100 by the end of the month. Even if it's in 10 sets of 10, that will be more than...- Bekit

PPP Loan and new Hire
OFF-TOPIC@CareCPA your thoughts on this? I'm the only person on my business payroll, too. I had thought about applying for a PPP loan for the purpose of hiring a few people to get some stuff done that I have been putting off until I had money. But then I decided against applying for it. I think the...- Bekit

My 20,000 Word Day #20000wordchallenge
MINDSETI find this idea strangely intriguing and invigorating... similar to the anticipation and "chomping at the bit" I feel when I contemplate doing a spartan race (even though I've never done one). Was your Medium post itself the actual writing you did for the 20,000 word challenge? I started...- Bekit

Starting A New E-commerce Business Model After Big Failure
FTEI'm not understanding your business model. Everything is free now, but later you'll price items according to the number of downloads? Won't that make the number of downloads drop to zero, when they're surrounded by other products that are free? I'm also not understanding the products...- Bekit

Fastlane? What about Fast-Typing - Save 1 hour a day as a writer
MINDSETYou are so right. A fast typing speed has helped me in countless ways. (My results from typingtest.com just now:) As a copywriter, fast typing helps me immensely. My forum posts don't take me that much time (even though they're often long). When I'm listening to a presentation, I can take...- Bekit

How to fix the Homeless problem..
This is absolutely true. I do a bunch of volunteer work with people coming out of jail. I have also sat down on the sidewalk and chatted with homeless people. Asked them about their life. Tried to figure out what they wanted on a daily basis. What it was like for them. What their ambitions...- Bekit

How to fix the Homeless problem..
I've put a fair amount of thought into solving homelessness. The bigger issue I see with this plan is that the homeless person needs to change their mindset first. I just ran across this video that I posted in another thread where a guy was homeless but then he changed his mindset. He got...- Bekit

HOT!I have a Motorola phone. Built in China. I've always felt a bit uneasy about this, knowing that China is probably watching everything I do. On December 31, an update was forcibly pushed to my phone. Thought it was a bit weird. Looking back, they already knew about the outbreak in Wuhan at...- Bekit

Guy was homeless. He got off the script, and then this happened...
MINDSETView: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uooo6PJvnQ This randomly popped up in my youtube recommendations. Sounds like the guy was solidly on the script (and homeless), but he got some classes that gave him a new mindset. First, he built a skillset that would allow him to bring in a regular...- Bekit

Fortnite/Minecraft Thoughts
HOT!I'm way outside the gaming world, so here are some of my observations from outside looking in. 1. Opportunity Cost Minecraft is a chance to build something, to create, to explore a world. But it's a fake world. So the energy of these young people is largely sucked into building stuff and...- Bekit

Acres of Diamonds
MINDSETGREAT share! There was more solid value packed into that 10-minute video than in a LOT of hour-long or book-length works. My Notes In the year 1843, a man was born who, during his lifetime, was to have an effect on millions of people. One day, a group of boys came to him and wanted a college...- Bekit

HOT!Nice! Do you know which manufacturer it's from? Different ones seem to have different false negative probabilities. So if you test negative, it might be nice to know the manufacturer so that you can look up the sensitivity of the test.- Bekit

The Fox Legends Program (over 1,000 Fastlane students)
MARKETPLACE@Fox I love what you're doing! Just wanted to add a bit of perspective on this from a copywriter's point of view and share why I endorse it so strongly. “You CANT be anything you set your mind to”
MINDSETYou're welcome. Glad it was helpful. OK, so your mom wants you to have a plan. But you're right, Business is hard to plan because things are constantly changing. So I don't think that you should expect to have a DETAILED plan. And your mom shouldn't expect that, either. If your plan was...- Bekit

Is it important to learn copywriting in 2020?
SIDE HUSTLEI have been making my living as a full-time copywriter since 2018. You have an implicit contradiction in your post. The fact that you have failed to get a copywriting job so far is an indication that NOT everyone can learn it and do it easily. Because copywriting is selling. Getting that...- Bekit

“You CANT be anything you set your mind to”
MINDSETLet's break down the quote that's the title of this thread. "You can be whatever you set your mind to." It sounds like you're objecting to your mom's use of this phrase because to her, this means, "IF YOU GO TO COLLEGE, you can be whatever you set your mind to." OK, let's reject that right...- Bekit
