2024/25 State Tax Rankings... Time for You to Move?

    HOT! TAXES | REGS
I've heard that Montana is one of the best states in terms of entrepreneurship. They would likely also have a ton of camping and government land. Check out Glacier National Park, for instance. If you were near a city, you'd have a library. Weather would be cold. But the cost of living would be...

How I sold a product worth $15 for 5 dollars? Can someone point out my mistakes?

    SIDE HUSTLE
Let's pinpoint what you are trying to solve. There are a few layers to what just happened here. Persuasion. He persuaded you to go his way, instead of you persuading him to go your way. Negotiation. You were asking one price, and he successfully negotiated you down to his price. Sales...

I'm the exact same way with faces. (And I'm a writer... So don't feel bad!) I recognize people by a collection of factors not including their face, such as their hairstyle, their hair color, the way they walk, the sound of their voice, the clothing they are wearing, and the context I meet them...

Here's another example of how the DARE concept might have recently just saved me. A few months back, I noticed that my laptop battery had swelled up quite a bit. It was actually cracking through the plastic housing. I thought it looked a bit scary and figured it probably wasn't good that...

Good thread. I used the DARE concept yesterday in a conversation with my sister. I found out she hasn't been locking the doors to her house. She was looking at it like, "yeah, but I've never locked my doors for years. I'm fearless. It'll be ok." She is a single woman. I brought up the point...

    Just got semmelwashed.

I'm sorry you had to go through this. What I see in your dad's actions is a lot of irrational fear. Yet you have somehow broken out of that fear. You are not subject to it. You do not have to operate that way. You're not alone in having to face the fact that your family is operating out of fear...

That is awesome! Thanks for sharing! I built the spreadsheet in like 2009 so I'm not sure if it's obsolete by now. It was for a very specific use case so it could be that no one needs it now. But this is a great idea if I come up with another spreadsheet idea! Thanks @disarli !

Creating a SaaS around a very simple idea?

    HOT! IDEA
I developed a spreadsheet once that solved a problem for my employer. The "standard" software to address this problem cost $2500, and the company wouldn't fork out that much money. That meant the employees were stuck doing this painstaking multi-step task by hand using a huge printed reference...

I think the tide of public opinion is being expertly swayed against landlords the same way it was back in the Chinese Cultural Revolution. I wouldn't touch rental property ownership with a 10-foot-pole right now, in any country. Just one example: View...

If they are using an email marketing provider, then yes, the unsubscribe will work. However, if they are a "real" spammer, then they'd probably get thrown right out of any legitimate email marketing platform. So they're probably operating their own mail server. If that is the case, then clicking...

Has Learning a Second Language Helped your Business?

    OFF-TOPIC
Because I speak Spanish fluently, I was hired in 2014 by a large company for a sales role to their potential customers in Mexico. The two years I spent in that business were invaluable for me to build me into who I am today. The ability to sell, plus the insight into small business that I gained...

Have you been watching the story of Prager University? Dennis Prager tried this concept (except with videos, not pamphlets), and they were getting a fair amount of traction, but lately, they have been viciously attacked, censored, and sued. You're definitely in for a challenge if the ideas you...
