First Sales Call After Slump... 2 Quick Questions.

    SIDE HUSTLE FTE WEB DESIGN
Just had my first sales call after a bit of a "slump" A Little Context: The service is essentially one that helps secure and verify people's investments so that the money they invest gets into the right hands. To build something that would encapsulate the entirety of this business seems that...

World Economy Doomed? What do you think?

    INVESTING
One simple theory: It's just cronies trying to form a global government, a new civilization, new world order, etc... I partially agree with not worrying about this stuff, but I believe one needs to still be aware of what is going on in the world and communicate with others. Like don't let it...

So tens of thousands of people in my province may be out of work by the sounds of things around October 1st. This would likely not only hurt these people's livelihoods, but it could likely also cripple many services (hospitals, power, telecommunications, etc.) And it seems that there is no...

    Dealing with rejection

    SIDE HUSTLE WEB DESIGN
Love that king of the hill vid; I get a kick outta Boomhauer making Bobby swear on the Bible. But, that is exactly what outbound sales, picking up women in public and anything of that sort (finding them) is like. Rejection is inevitable here. I'd also argue that when we put out an ad of...

    Dealing with rejection

    SIDE HUSTLE WEB DESIGN
First of all, Good job taking action! A million years of theory means nothing if there is no application. Don't let "rejection" shake you too much. That uneasy feeling is something we will all feel at some point in life, and likely more times than we'd like. I've been yelled at, sworn at...

How to validate ideas as a software dev?

    IDEA
In terms of actionable tactics for idea validation, I know two different methods off the top of my head. They are: Make a landing page that appears to sell your software, but upon clicking a "buy now" CTA they'll be informed that it is currently under construction. You can also let them input...

Wait so they win $25k a year with the condition they must also commit to participating in a show in Vegas? If that is the case, I wonder how frequent they have to perform that show? Seems like winning could be a nightmare if I understand that correctly.

I like animations, but it's important to design as to not confuse the user and ensure that they take the desired action. I feel like certain UI components aren't going away anytime soon (navbars, cta buttons, forms, etc.) They may be styled differently, but they are too fundamental to a...

VR Virtual Reality: What is Your Opinion on Timing?

Are people still buying VR headsets? Yes, of course. It's a completely valid and large enough niche one could make a profit in as long as they provide a valuable product or service. I'd also look into AR and XR as well. As for resources, I'd try engage in a VR community. Ideally one that...

    Does work ethic really matter?

    HOT! MINDSET
Y still had to work and provide value. Without some level of work ethic, they would be doomed to fail. Sure they didn't have to work under an employer or perhaps as hard relatively when compared to other people. But, it is foolish to think they didn't have to do anything. Work hard, work smart...
