Landing Page For Farm Produce eCommerce - Critique

There actually is one nearby but they're closed. At the moment the lockdown regulations make that sort of thing hard to do but afterwards that sort of thing might be good.

Landing Page For Farm Produce eCommerce - Critique

The farmer organises transport or offers farm-gate pickup. It's not ideal logistically. A combined delivery run would be more efficient & I've been working on that but it's one step at at time at this stage.

Landing Page For Farm Produce eCommerce - Critique

Hi. I live in a regional town & I've found that the market for locally grown & home delivered produce has exploded since the Corona lockdown. At the same time a lot of farmers have lost sales because of closure or restaurants & farmers markets. My idea is to create simple, standardized...

Here's a progress update on the results of my website upgrade that I undertook late 2019. Just to recap, earlier in 2019 I noticed that my organic search was really dropping off. I posted here & got some great advice telling me that my website sucked. Thanks to a bunch of people who gave...

Bricks & Mortar Business - Manual Selling vs Online Selling Efficiency

    EXECUTION
In my local service business I've found that manually selling, processing orders & payments takes up a huge amount of time. When I say "manual" I mean via phone or email. Does anyone have experience in going from a manual system to an online automated one? For example a webstore like...

    Online Rental Store vs Manual

Thanks. We do both. We rent out equipment & we do it as a service. Glad to hear from someone who has experience with rental sites. Yes I was really hoping it would cut down on my time on the phone & on emails. Yes I've put phone number too for those that do need to call. I'm also...

    Online Rental Store vs Manual

Just thought I'd update on my progress with this. After quite a bit of time trialing of different options I found an awesome software package that does pretty much all I need for a very reasonable price of about $130 per month. It's called Booqable & it's by a Danish company. I wasn't...

The Undercover Billionaire: Building a $1m business in 90 days

    HOT! MINDSET
I recorded it months ago & just binge watched. I found it really encouraging. There's virtually nothing on TV I really enjoy these days but this was a rare exception. Yes I know it's reality TV & some things weren't realistic but I felt like there was some great takeaway lessons. I...

Business Ideas for the (emerging) stay-at-home Economy?

    HOT! IDEA
What I'm working on at the moment is helping farmers sell direct to the public. It seems there's been a huge upswing in people wanting to buy direct from farmers due to shortages in supermarkets or even just wanting to eat local & healthier. My strategy is to build farmers simple 1 page...

Local Online Marketplace to Enable Food Delivery During COVID

Thanks Phil. So what would be the benefits you see from having a personal shopper that delivers just to you rather than shopping through a marketplace & having the vendors use a common courier?

Local Online Marketplace to Enable Food Delivery During COVID

Hi. A big weak link in social distancing is having to go out for groceries. In my town the major supermarkets have stopped doing home delivery to the general public. I'm in a mid sized rural town so there's actually a lot of small local food producers. Some are doing phone orders & home...

    Website for Firewood Sales

Yes I used a .com for a while which was OK. For .com.au you have to register the business name which now cheaper than it used to be at $36 but you have to have an Australian Business Number too. Both those things cut down on the competition.

    EXECUTION
I'm afraid I don't have any advice for you but I appreciate you sharing & in particular the numbers. Often people only want to share what works but we can learn so much from what doesn't work. Maybe others have got some ideas to tweak it & make it work but either way I hope you're not...

    Website for Firewood Sales

Thanks Azure. We're in town so it's pretty urban. We actually used to deliver brochures so that's something that's doable. We're in one of the few parts of Oz that get's a bit cold so wood is a popular heating option. Good point about the blue collar face-to-face approach.

    Website for Firewood Sales

Hi. My events business has got the Rona so I've been working on a few other hustles. I've noticed for a while that the firewood suppliers in my town have crappy websites or no websites so I was going to trade a site & some marketing work in return for free wood (it's Autumn here). I...

Good point about statistical significance. I was probably quick to judge. Also just an upate. I've had another 5 enquiries from the website so that's actually pretty good in terms of number of enquiries.

Thanks Kid. Yeah I did agonise over the 2 column design. The problem is that if I go single column at the top it wastes a lot of "above the fold" desktop real estate. When users see that right column they can immediately say "Ah OK they rent speakers & stuff & that's their price...

Thanks. Funny you should ask about that big order because out of the thousands of orders we've done that was the ultimate order. I often ask myself how we can get more orders like that. Basically Nigel Kennedy the famous violinist comes to Australia & books 4 x Bose L1 speakers for 3 weeks...

Thanks lludwig, Yes you're probably right. I could simplify the home page even more. The FAQ & terms & conditions could definitely go somewhere else but I felt like the testimonials, slider & package example pics were still home page appropriate. The testimonials I feel are really...
