Interested in a free e-commerce website?

I'm looking for a solid testimonial from a well established merchant for my e-commerce development service. Here's my plan: My company will develop your website and handle all technical stuff for you (incl hosting, email automation, abandoned checkouts, etc). You'll manage the catalogue...

Is it legal to show other companies' works in blog posts?

It's not paranoia, it's being smart. Not worth it to get sued over anything.

Is it legal to show other companies' works in blog posts?

Yea I decided not to do it because even if they sue me and lose the case, they will end up draining me of all my money

Is it legal to show other companies' works in blog posts?

I want to start doing some content marketing on my website. Let's say I write a blog post about responsive web design and want to show some example of company websites with bad and good responsiveness as examples. Would these companies (especially the ones with non responsive websites) be able...

Is it legal to list out non existent employees?

Eh, not worth the trouble then

Is it legal to list out non existent employees?

In TMF, MJ says that he listed out non-existent employees to increase the size of his business in his customers' minds. I thought this was a brilliant idea but I'm not sure about the legality of listing Dimitry and Paula on my about page. Any comments?

Who actually needs a website these days?

    SIDE HUSTLE WEB DESIGN
For sure. I don't try to convince anyone anymore. If a prospect tells me he doesn't need my services even though he actually needs them, I thank them for their time and leave. Things have been great since I started treating sales like dating.

Who actually needs a website these days?

    SIDE HUSTLE WEB DESIGN
That's exactly what I'm trying to say. At the beginning I was selling to everyone but now I only sell to people who will actually benefit from my services. That way, I get better projects in my portfolio.

You might find this funny but none of my current clients actually visited my website before starting a project with me. You have very solid arguments and I agree 100% with them but from my personal experience, the average business owner doesn't care about any of these things. You might think...

Who actually needs a website these days?

    SIDE HUSTLE WEB DESIGN
GMB provides free websites. None of the small businesses I talked to cared about remarketing campaigns. These people don't have the time or resources to deal with these advanced stuff. My point is, when you sell websites, it's easy to think that everyone will benefit from your services because...

Who actually needs a website these days?

    SIDE HUSTLE WEB DESIGN
When I first started, I'd take on any project and not worry much about the outcomes because I thought that simply having a website and some SEO will be beneficial to the business. That's why I started asking around when I found that my clients didn't get anything valuable after having invested...

Who actually needs a website these days?

    SIDE HUSTLE WEB DESIGN
After having spent a lot of time building websites that don't do anything for my clients, I went and talked to a bunch of prospects in different industries about the usefulness of a website. Instead of trying to sell them yet another project, I wanted to hear what they had to say. I discovered...

Be picky when choosing clients, even when you're starting out

    SIDE HUSTLE RANT
Amen brother. It's not only good but absolutely necessary because if you take on bad clients at the beginning, you risk shutting down your business because it will suck the life out of you. I can't tell you how many times I wanted to crawl back to my 9-5 job because of how shit it was working...

    SIDE HUSTLE RANT
For sure, when you work for shitty people, you end up losing a ton of opportunities working with really good people. And there's a ton of people out there looking for you to come and do good things with them, it's only now that I'm realizing that. Yea I'd really like to not do their stuff...

Be picky when choosing clients, even when you're starting out

    SIDE HUSTLE RANT
Yea it's very important to not ignore red flags and gut feelings and be upfront with the client right from the beginning.

For sure. The saying "You get what you pay for" also applies the other way around. When you give stuff for free, you end up attracting the wrong kind of people.
