ChatGPT / AI / MidJourney Creation Repository: Share Your Useful Creations

    IDEA
I just watched this video yesterday. HO-LEE CRAP! I tried DALL-E for some of my affiliate products and it failed miserably. Gonna have to try Midjourney.

ChatGPT / AI / MidJourney Creation Repository: Share Your Useful Creations

    IDEA
First Case I have an Amazon affiliate blog. I needed a plugin that simply puts my affiliate ID at the end of all Amazon links. There are a lot of them out there, but I'm wary of security with plugins on my profitable sites. So I asked ChatGPT to write a plugin. Worked great first time! Even gave...

Principles for Dealing with the Changing World Order by Ray Dalio

    INVESTING
People have been predicting the end of the world since there were people, and this includes countries. Yet, here we are. This is more of the same. It's like those "longevity experts" - there's a "law" out there that they always predict immortality will arrive 20 years from now but before the...

Why are people so lazy nowadays? Is it a generation thing?

    HOT! OFF-TOPIC
Why did I have to scroll so far to see this? It's just how people are. There are no bygone glory days. There's nothing to go back to to make your country "great again." People romanticize things all the time, but I had chicken pox and measles growing up but my kids never will. My parents drove...

Discuss acquisition entrepreneurship as a Fastlane launch point...

    HOT! CHAT
Exactly this. Hey, somebody was able to talk a retiring couple into seller financing for a car wash! Someone bought some land in Joshua Tree and did a HipCamp on it! Someone bought ice vending machines! etc. Her model seems to be this: "Find someone retiring, get them to do...

I get Codie Sanchez's emails, too. I'm on the fence. She has some great ideas but I'm not really willing to pay for her stuff. She has a deal on AppSumo right now and the reviews are similar to what people are saying here - she's clearly knowledgeable but it's hard for any of us to take real...

Regarding the unrealized gains tax: Let's fight misinformation, not spread it. Middle class doesn't make $100M/year. This is absolutely targeting the mega rich. re: $600 limit: Also, it's $10,000 now not $600. Straight from the horse's mouth: FACT SHEET: Tax Compliance Proposals Will Improve...

    Fastlane Opportunities for Writers

    HOT! IDEA
It's not that her book isn't beautiful prose. The main character is basically along for the ride and people had a hard time imagining her because she's so dull. Or maybe that's the appeal? I dunno; I didn't like the movies, either, but she got my money :) To that point, the books did sell and...

Fair enough. Something about the way he comes across just rubs me the wrong way. And anyone that's actually READ the Twilight series would tell you that they're good stories but terribly written, so that's a double-edged sword. And I appreciate the feedback on the Apex writers course! re...

I subscribe to David Farland's email newsletter. He wrote a bunch of fantasy books (not my genre, I tried to read them and didn't like them), his wife is also an author, and he writes a lot of "how to" writing books. He's a judge on the L. Ron Hubbard’s Writers of the Future Contest. He pimps...

THE FINAL POST to end all EXCUSES...

    SIDE HUSTLE
Honestly, solicitors at my house get exactly this much time, and they'd be much more successful if they told me up front what they're selling. This also struck me because I LIKED it! What REALLY steams me is when they say they're not selling anything. That's never actually been true. I don't...

    Parler Taken Down. Your Thoughts?

    HOT! OFF-TOPIC
Every post on Parler was scraped because their security was really awful and a user was able to grab EVERY post ever, even deleted posts. AND metadata. Now the FBI has all that. If I were a user, I'd try to sue Parler for not properly securing my private info...

Beginner's guide to setting up a Linux machine

    HOT! OFF-TOPIC
My $0.02... I've been using Linux since about 1992 when it was VERY young. I used Slackware for years, then moved to Ubuntu about 6-7 years ago. I do a lot of development/coding, but I also have done some writing (fiction). I make my own covers. I use Reaper to make music. Spotify works...

    Parler Taken Down. Your Thoughts?

    HOT! OFF-TOPIC
@Gapple I am not surprised that this site leans Libertarian/right, actually. I lean VERY left. In fact, I think I don't pay enough taxes. History shows that progressive societies do better. Rising tide floats all boats, etc. More money in the hands of the spenders means more money in the...

Gravy's Hustle Thread: $100k/mo or Bust!

    GOLD! HOT!
I don't remember where I read it, but someone said, "personal trainers don't come to your house looking for clients, they hang out at the gym, where people are already looking for their services." Sounds like you stumbled onto the same lesson.

Which style do guys like better? (Artist not me)

    OFF-TOPIC
While art is subjective, there are definite ways to critique art objectively. The piece on the right is superior in that aspect. The composition is better, the texture is part of the picture, it has a color scheme, the positive and negative spaces are balanced and well-placed, etc. The one on...

TIL : Change Management is a thing in the corporate world

    RANT
I did this for a few years at a Fortune 100 company. It's very real. If you have a $75B supply chain that runs on outdated software and need to modernize, you need TCM (Transition Change Management). The three pillars where I worked are still with me today - People, Process, Tools, in that...

Are you ignoring the gold right in front of you?

    HOT! MINDSET
Yup! After much brainstorming with a friend who's killing it in his sales job by focusing on the basics (adding value, seeking to help first, all the MFL stuff but he's never read the book, he just lives it), I decided that several courses in "How to X, Step by Step" would be super valuable...

Thanks for the detailed reply! I am compiling a list of leads and filling out a super simple tracker in Google Sheets. I'll definitely reach out and try to make a connection. I KNOW they have the same problems. Just need to get in front of the right people.

Are you ignoring the gold right in front of you?

    HOT! MINDSET
I've considered this. Don't know much about buying technology, but improving efficiency then flipping is a good idea. Not exactly CENTS, but could be profitable and I could probably get some people onboard with me to show them how this works. It's not rocket surgery... or so you'd think :)
