    Ha yeah, obviously people have been inspired by others' ideas since the dawn of humanity. I was referring more to the "It's like Netflix, but for video games!" or "We're the PayPal of weed dispensaries." type marketing and line of thought.

    Yeah, we see that formula everywhere now. "It's like [ultra successful company], but for [different service/product]!" "It's the [company] of [service]!" Lots of companies making wheelbarrows of cash through this model so it's clearly a good way to think of an idea and market it.

    That works in a pinch but the voice is just so mechanical (for obvious reasons). It's no replacement for a professional reader or the author reading the work - pauses, emphasis, humor, etc. all add to the experience and tone of the book.
