Does your "get rich" internet guru only make $28K/yr?

    NOTABLE! MINDSET
You can buy a used supercar for just under $100k. My duplex was that price, and my mortgage is only $590. With $2400/mo, I could be paying on 4 duplexes, and I'd get most of the money back in rent. Just saying.

Unscripted life > Subsistence farming or going off the grid

    INTRO
I've thought about going off the grid a lot. The only thing that stopped me is that, in the words of MJ, you're violating the principle of control. What happens when your land gets developed because you don't really own it? Spoiler: you've got another Unabomber situation. I concluded that the...

    Coconut oil vs canola oil

    HEALTH
I use pretty much anything natural. Coconut oil, avocado oil, olive oil, grass-fed butter, tallow, pastured lard, duck fat. You may argue that these are all unhealthy, but remember: these are the oils/fats people used for cooking before the obesity crisis was a thing.

    Dream Car Talk

    OFF-TOPIC
My dream car's been a McLaren since I was a pre-teen and played Need for Speed on playstation. I'm not sure how I feel about the newer 720S without the black accent(did that serve a functional purpose does anyone know? It looked like an intake of some sort)

Is there special kinda genes ?!

    HOT! MINDSET
I think that would fall under "politics", as evidenced by the complete derail to the discussion that followed. Personally I think it's a combination of genes and upbringing that make you more likely to question and be dissatisfied with the system and have a "F*ck This Event"(FTE). If you've...

    Coconut oil vs canola oil

    HEALTH
Canola is dirt cheap to produce, highly processed, and comes from a plant that is toxic in its natural form.

Swim lateral to the riptide of mediocrity

    EXECUTION
I quit my job! I have 0 sales and 0 revenue, but I saved up a year's worth of living expenses, so I just did it! Now where were we... After working out all the quirks, I got to finalizing orders with my distributor. My first order is 1000 pcs. I bought a server through bluehost, then chose...

Sheep mentality in the gaming community

    HOT! MINDSET
I've got over 400 hours logged in Skyrim. I'm not really ashamed of it, I still get a chuckle now and then from some of the stuff I've done on there. Back then I had no clue there was another lane though, I thought it was just, "Work your a$$ off, spend as little as possible, so you can retire...

    66 Days to Success

    MINDSET
About a week ago I was stuck in a car for 12 hours, and ended up reading Elon Musk's biography. I was really struck by his work habits when he was building his first business, Zip2. Apparently he would sleep next to his desk, and work from the time he woke up until the time he went to bed. Now...

    Is google plus dead ?

    MARKETING
They were foolish to even try. The same network effects that helped Facebook blow up prevented G+ from gaining traction.

    "Hey- what are you reading?"

Depends on who's asking. If it's my boss asking on my lunchbreak, I'd dodge with a "Oh it's just a self-help book about improving your life and finances." Trust me though, once you start implementing the wisdom in this book, you won't want to dodge the question if it's anyone asking outside of work.

Is opening a Coffee Shop a good idea ?

    HOT! IDEA
Huh? I thought roasting your own beans was pretty much status quo for coffee shops? Hell, I roast my own beans at home with an old popcorn popper.

Is opening a Coffee Shop a good idea ?

    HOT! IDEA
I see a lot of 'I' 'Me' and 'My' in your question. Does the area you're looking at need another coffee shop? Do you have some unique value that would differentiate your coffee shop from the other coffee shops near you? Do you have something so unique, different, and valuable that someone would...

    Is your dating life fulfilling?

    PEOPLE HOT!
One of the most real relationships I ever had was with a woman who did that. She was loyal as hell, too. Pity she was 20 years my senior, would have made great marriage material. To answer the OP's question, yes. Dating is a huge pain point for most people I talk to. Unfortunately, that pain...
