    Company name

But they are all common/recognisable/easy-to-spell words. Eepic is not. As a basic I would say you should be able to tell someone the business name/domain/email without having to confirm the spelling. I know 'some' successful businesses don't, but why create extra work?

For those of you who segment their Customer emails

    MARKETING
@eqttrdr Take a look at drip.co - they use one list with multiple tags, rather than multiple lists. Sounds like the kind of thing you are after.

    Forum Feedback

I didn't say it was irritating me. I said it was unconsciously registering as the 'threads below this have not been updated' line and I wasn't reading any further.

    Forum Feedback

Hey @MJ DeMarco I just wanted to give you some feedback about the forum design, not sure how it will correspond with your analytics. Since the redesign I've not been visiting the forum as much. I stop by but it always looks like there isn't much happening - and I've just worked out why that...

Fighting Inactivity In The Face Of New Information

    EXECUTION
I think shopify with the integrated Stripe(?) checkout is an amazing thing. When I started doing ecommerce 9 years ago I had to send through a business plan and pay a deposit to set up a payment gateway and merchant bank account. Now I just have to enter my email and bank account details and I'm...

Opportunity to buy a website with 1000's of customers

I've recently been working on something similar and a lot of issues I didn't expect have cropped up. These are some of the questions I would have: What is the take up of the offers - have businesses seen increased custom? How many businesses (either side) are renewing for a second year? Some...

    Stay broad or niche down?

The site can be broad but the articles shouldn't be. "The best health apps" is the perfect example of trying to appeal to everyone and ending up appealing to no-one.

Anything like Buffer that posts direct links?

    MARKETING
Doh, just been shown there is a setting in Buffer to turn it off. As you were.

Anything like Buffer that posts direct links?

    MARKETING
Hi Guys, My website does some pretty cool stuff with twitter cards when I post a straight website link but when I schedule tweets with something like Buffer, which redirects via buff.ly links it doesn't happen. Does anyone use anything which schedules direct links which they can recommend? Thanks

How do you effectively set goals?

    MINDSET
Instead of setting goals which are out of your control, set goals which are. For example, instead of "get x clients" set a goal of "make x phone calls". With the first method, if your goal is 50 clients, then every day until you reach 50 you are failing. With the second method, you are...

3 Activities Every Successful Entrepreneur MUST Do Religiously

@Squadus What's the deals with the Tai Lopez videos in your feed? Is that what his course is, to repost his videos with an affiliate link to his course? I'm genuinely interested.

    Scratch your own itch?

In Gary Vaynerchuk's most recent book he highlights one of his early errors as not 'scratching his own itch'. When he first started selling wine via ecommerce there was no way to automatically contact customers who had abandoned their cart. He paid a developer to code it for him and he used it...

I don't understand how good copy works

    MARKETING
A lot of the examples in these books are from the very early days of direct advertising. While a lot of the principles are the same, the actual way we speak and write has changed dramatically. If you pull out the key ideas, then read some modern sales copy (which you know works), you can see...

    Another quick question for Americans

    OFF-TOPIC
I disagree. I just searched for 'saving money in 2017' and I got results for clark.com, WTNH Connecticut News and bankrate.com, all talking about $ and promoting/mentioning American bank accounts. I wanted to see if it works the other way around as I can't see why those results would be more...

    Another quick question for Americans

    OFF-TOPIC
I didn't say I visit lots of .com sites, I said I visit lots of American sites. All the .com sites that I posted above are American, not UK sites on the .com extension.

    Another quick question for Americans

    OFF-TOPIC
That's interesting. I just did a search on Google.co.uk for 'modern web design 2017' (just a random query) and the first page included from the US: webflow.com wpmudev.org tippingpointus.com smartinsights.com thenextweb.com cmswire.com wix.com There were only 3 listings for UK sites. Seems...

    Another quick question for Americans

    OFF-TOPIC
Hi Guys, Just trying to do a bit of quick research. I'm trying to find out what Americans' thoughts are on .co.uk websites. I am on American websites all the time. Reading about $, colors and sidewalks instead of £, colours and footpaths. It seems an every day occurrence and completely normal...

Invite mailing list to like page via Facebook

    MARKETING
Hi everyone, I've found the option in FB to invite your email list to like your page. It sends them an email from Facebook suggesting it and then also appears as a Suggested Page on their feed. When appearing as a Suggested Page it says "JoeB suggested that you take a look at this page"...
