My $100m Idea - Building A Smart Contract Web App

    IDEA
I don't mean it in the sense that the idea has no value. I'm saying it doesn't matter what it is if you don't do anything about it right? How many people come on the forum and say "my idea is xyz" but never turn it into anything? So I wouldn't really be worried about things like protecting...

My $100m Idea - Building A Smart Contract Web App

    IDEA
You're idea is probably nothing special. What makes the greats great is how they executed. I wouldn't be too worried about it. And just letting you know, typical VC's laugh in the face of NDA's.

    My Journey to $10K Monthly...

    SIDE HUSTLE
This seems like a cop out to not get on the phone and get results. I cold call for a living (partially). It's the cheapest outbound I know, and it works 100% of the time if I want an answer and can get to a DM. You're approach is no different than one thousand other guys out there that are...

Developing Relationships With Top Players - Master Thread

    NOTABLE! PEOPLE
I checked out that site once a few years ago and saw Mark Cuban on there. He was charging $500 a minute. I don't know if he's still around on there (or why he would be) but it definitely was a surprise ($500 a minute is a STEAL for Mark).

Danny, not sure what you're asking here. If you can actually provide value with this, go for it. If that's not what you're saying can you please clarify?

    Am I overthinking my appearance...?

Maybe at your office you can be casual. But if meeting with clients for the first time, I'd tend to think one should err on the professional side. You will never get yelled at for dressing the part, however you might for not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Irish filmmaker and now a fastlane student

    INTRO
Ugh, my problem. I love learning new editing tricks. I think a base layer education of modern film (I think of youtubers as the modern filmmakers) might be a good course to try and sell. I had to teach myself everything (as most do) and it was a bit confusing. Not knowing what to teach...

    Re-Launching a blog???

    SIDE HUSTLE
I think you need to ask yourself one thing first: "Am I financially independent?" If the answer is no, I won't be reading your blog. I typically read from people that have skin in the game (i.e. have something to lose or are "there"). I looked at your posting history as well, you've posted...

Abandoning Fastlane Temporarily for Career Change in Slowlane?

    MINDSET SLOWLANE
I think you should stop looking at things in such a short term manner. Life is long. You will get many at bats. It's ok to go out every once in a while and enjoy yourself. There is no point to being miserable in the present since it's all you have. It's a long term game with short term...

What Would Be Your Advice to the Post-High School Graduates?

    MINDSET
Not to be that guy man, but probably do my due diligence. Plenty of answers to that question over the years. What would you tell to your younger self? NOTABLE! - What would you tell your 25 year old self? Fastlane - What would you tell your 16 year old self? Failure - Letters to Your...

Has what you started off with gone in a completely different direction? Is that okay?

Sure fair question. I generally monitor important metrics. You have to figure out what those are for the business and your progress. Let's say I'm editing a video, I might monitor how complex the project in correlation to my output time. If I see that number going down (taking less time) I...

    Best CRM platform?

    PEOPLE
Gold standard is Salesforce. Hubspot is probably a good free alternative.

Has what you started off with gone in a completely different direction? Is that okay?

Ahhh yes, the famous "pivot". There have been plenty of companies that ended up doing something that's totally different than what they initially set out to do. Notably a few come to mind: Twitter, Starbucks, Paypal, YouTube. One could argue that maybe there wasn't a strong enough need, or...

How to get my 14 yr old thinking towards fastlane

    MINDSET
I think this whole thing is very much in line with the parents wanting their kids to be a doctor or lawyer. These professions were the rockstar professions years ago, and now playing entrepreneur is the new cool profession. I can't help but think there might be a similarity here.
