Hated His Job at 40, Bought A Business, Now Nearly A Billionaire

    HOT! EXECUTION
I'm 38 and have recently hit completely broke again and my self talk has been "you are getting too old, you've left it too late, your window is closing"... time to tell myself to shut up.

Bitcoin / Cryptocurrency Discussion (And Predictions)

    HOT! CRYPTO CHAT
The kind that shortsightedly thought bitcoin was a fad that would crash and burn, they were still worth next to nothing when the hard drive crashed. Also have you ever seen a landscaper's garden or a mechanic's car? It is the same with sysadmin's home systems...

Is it ethical to copy a business?

You can copy a business model, there is very little point in reinventing a wheel that is working perfectly fine elsewhere... what you can't copy is their words, ads, photos, videos, IP, trademarks, branding etc. If it was illegal or unethical to copy a business model we'd only have 1 option...

Bitcoin / Cryptocurrency Discussion (And Predictions)

    HOT! CRYPTO CHAT
Yep, had everything on there... I've recovered most of it... of course the most valuable part (monetarily) is completely corrupted. I've tried everything. It is gone. I'm ok with it most of the time. Although I could really do with just 2-3 bitcoin at the moment.

Bitcoin / Cryptocurrency Discussion (And Predictions)

    HOT! CRYPTO CHAT
Except anyone smart enough to recover the drive would also be able to recover my other private data and photography work.. which strangely enough, the bitcoin would not be enough for me to part with the entire library of work. We're talking well over 1 million photos, many projects and then...

Bitcoin / Cryptocurrency Discussion (And Predictions)

    HOT! CRYPTO CHAT
*sigh* I have a dead 4 drive raid system (lightning strike, killed all 4 drives)... on that raid is my very secure wallet with at *least* 250 bitcoin in it... I bought well over 2500 bitcoin in 2010, bought a bunch of useless stuff with it. I now have a *very* expensive paper weight. Before...

    Flippa Listing Research

Hey All, I'm looking at a listing on flippa at the moment, something seems a bit "too good to be true" on their numbers, not just their proclaimed earnings but also their facebook ads. I'm wondering how people do research on these types of listings? They don't have a facebook page, yet claim...

Why import from China? When you can export to China!

There are a few of us working on something along those lines, some of the red tape is difficult, but will be worth the effort in the long run.

I rationalise it by thinking that if it didn't crash, I would have almost certainly cashed out long ago.

Bitcoin / Cryptocurrency Discussion (And Predictions)

    HOT! CRYPTO CHAT
Absolutely dead serious. I bought the BTC when it was worth next to nothing. The wallet has just over 200 BTC in it. I've already spent thousands on recovering data from it, it was part of a RAID setup that went haywire and managed to crash all the drives in it. I managed to recover nearly all...

*sigh* I have a dead hard drive here that is now worth over $4.6M if I could ever recover the bitcoin wallet from it.

How I Make Over $100,000+ a Year from My Laptop (full blueprint)

    HOT! SIDE HUSTLE
While I dare not speak for the entire forum, in my short experience with it, I've found that people's BS detection meters are finely tuned, so you may not get far with your material here. The other thing that this forum is about (from my understanding) is creating real, lasting, value. Which...

This guy built a startup in public

Found this thread very informative on Reddit, this guy built a startup from scratch and recorded it / live broadcast it with Twitch. This means you can watch the entire process from start to 100K users, as we all know it is process that matters, not necessarily the outcome at first. Building a...

How do you deal with disbelievers?

    MINDSET RANT
You know the best way to prove someone wrong... go and do what they say is impossible. Don't waste time arguing or trying to convince them, it is a waste of your time and energy, go do the work. Not the most noble motivation / "why" in the world, but it certainly works.

F*ck This Guy - Tai Lopez

    FUNNY
I think for me... I would rather be broke & not violate my own ethics than to follow the example of Tai Lopez. If there is anything to learn from Tai is what not to do.. or how not to create value. Also I am not saying that in order to become wealthy you have to do unethical things, that is a...

I'm gonna be a dad.. Did I just lose the Fastlane?

    INTRO
First of all... Congratulations, being a parent is an incredible adventure all on its own! This is a loss of the fast lane only if you decide it is. You can either succumb to the script, get a job and die a little bit each day. Or you can embrace it and use it as your ultimate motivation. I...

How to Learn Code, Start a Web Company, $15k+ per month within 9 months

    GOLD! SIDE HUSTLE
If you are going to use Wordpress, you can do nearly everything with only knowing HTML & CSS. I have been developing Wordpress websites since 2006, it has only become easier and easier to use over the years. I really recommend using a framework to build themes, I've been using X Theme lately...

    HEALTH
I work when I am awake and not needed for family things... well it feels like that at the moment. Why? Because I am broke at the moment.

    HOT! MARKETING
You know they aren't mutually exclusive.. you could do both and split test them... or just have different targeting for what appeals to the two different types?
