Choose Hard, Live Easy: The Art of War for Decision-Making (Release thread)

    HOT! BOOKS
This one hit hard for me also. Reframing life through a cinematic lens makes even the difficult decisions feel significant. I’m grateful to have so many 'scenes' worth filming, and this part inspired me to create even more. Regarding the more mundane aspects of life, I think they deserve a...

    The AI Software Apocalypse...

    HOT! - AI -
Cal AI, an app that I use, is an example of what is happening. Acquired for $30M for an app you and your pals can (but won’t bother to) vibe code in a weekend. But people, including Mathew in this video, underestimate how big of an advantage it is to already have distribution channels ready or...

A random rant. As I get older, the algorithms keep bombarding me with 90s and 2000s nostalgia shit. Honestly, I do not get it. Those timelines sucked. I still remember how dirty everything was. Power Rangers got boring after like two episodes of the same recycled scenes with two characters...

3x Your Productivity With Wispr Flow

    HOT! - AI -
This is an amazing tool to use, @Andy Black. The funny part is that I'm now dictating while whispering and there's so much noise around. In my opinion this thread is Gold.

Last week I had a powerful revelation that I'm sure many of you will think, "No shit, Sherlock." Instead of writing in my messages to my team, "I want to," "I think it would be good to," or "I believe it would be good," I just say "I intend to." For some reason, things start to happen. I take...

Work Life Balance - The mind of an unhappy slave

    GOLD! HOT! MINDSET
I like three strong points here: Divided attention produces mediocre output. Deep focus beats shallow multitasking. Seasons of focus produce better results than constant half-assing. Where I differ is on the “maniac mode” part. For me, what works best is high-intensity blocks inside protected...

Are you using AI yet? (Poll + Steps to get started & up to speed?)

    HOT! FEEDBACK
Contrary to the hype, I have not moved much beyond using ChatGPT (projects) and NotebookLM in my day-to-day work. I see a lot of noise around agents, Codex, Claude Code, etc., but in practice I have not been able to use them effectively. For me, they are still hit-or-miss and hard to integrate...

What I do is I don’t allow YouTube to show me thumbnails or recommendations, and I use OneSec, which basically creates a pattern interrupt for me when I try to open YouTube, LinkedIn, X, and Instagram on my phone (I don’t use TikTok-shit). With this system, I took back my time. If you win the...

Would love to take it later on. Who knows, maybe I’m completely delulu. The thing is, I hate Kindles. I actually love having physical books so I can smell them, touch them, and look at them (that came out weird). It seems like for book pre-orders, it’s US only, right?
