    Creative ideas for night owls?

    HOT! IDEA
We have a genetic mutation that makes our circadian rhythm lag by around 2 hours. Here's what's interesting. And I may be stretching these points. But it's night time so I'm feeling creative! 1. In ancient times, we had a dual sleep cycle. You slept for a couple of hours. Got up for half an...

Things you've noticed about life after reading TMF

    FTE
Welcome home :D "Help a million people and you'll be a millionaire" Or something along those lines. What I find stunning about this line is how it pulls you in. Everyone wants a million dollars right? But what it doesn't say is how rich your life becomes by helping others. I started out...

Can't say enough good things about owning a Chromebook - one of the best tools to work online

You're missing the point. The chromebook is not the best web dev tool. In fact the only thing worse than a chromebook for design is a smartphone. My problem with your original post is that you're hailing it as one of the best solutions. And then you go into a rhapsody of how easy it is to...

Can't say enough good things about owning a Chromebook - one of the best tools to work online

Headline: Opening sentence: Your honor. I rest my case. Trolling aside. This is just bad advice that could hurt someone. Anyone who is seriously considering getting into web design or dev will buy this thinking they can start cheap and skim $200-300. "Because good windows or mac laptops...

Can't say enough good things about owning a Chromebook - one of the best tools to work online

That's like telling people the best way to get to work is by walking, because you live 5 minutes from your office. I forgive you

Basic cybersecurity for a new website?

Nope, and I can't vouch for any of the software there. Don't download browser plugins directly from sites. Go through the appropriate repository, like the Play store on Chrome.

Basic cybersecurity for a new website?

Backups. I manage a couple of sites, and all of them have redundant backups. My approach: it's not if a site gets hacked. It's when. So in the event someone breaks it, how can you have it up and running in a few hours? (Updraft plus is a good plugin) That being said, I've never had a real...

Lex DeVille's: Guru Cults Exposed: The Tactics "Experts" Use To Pull You In & Suck You Dry

    GOLD! MARKETING
FUD (Fear, Uncertainty & Doubt) Same as Ackman when he released his paper on HLF being a scheme. Just a marketing ploy to get to the headline readers, then cause a domino effect: 1. People who have long positions will sell thinking it's at the top 2. Then he uses his reputation as a known...

Lex DeVille's: Guru Cults Exposed: The Tactics "Experts" Use To Pull You In & Suck You Dry

    GOLD! MARKETING
Problem is, these smart investor types greatly underestimate people's....ability to keep lying to themselves. Just ask Bill Ackman after closing his $1B short on HLF at a loss.

(The Ultimate Game)Testing your ideas against the market

    IDEA
That's really interesting. It seems to be a derivative of the scientific method. Which sets out to disprove an idea, rather than finding a correlation between the data. That plays into how billionaires think overall. Like my homie Munger, in the profile pic, they're more pessimistic. It's not...

Inside the Mind of the $20 Billion Dollar Man: Elon Musk Internal Letter to Employees

    PEOPLE
As Jordan Peterson says, you play multiple games in life. Musk is playing the, "Let's get the hell off this rock before we hurt ourselves." But to get there, he has to go through the current system we have in place. You might be confusing this forum with Reddit. Very few are blindly following...

    HOT!
Rumors are it's an Android replacement, commanding a whopping 80%+ market share. Android apps will be backwards compatible, but they won't have access to the same functionality as what Flutter offers. So it will be a quasi new platform, where first movers advantage matters. They're changing...

Running a company full of departments and employees is like managing a fleet of ships. Where you're constantly swinging across to make sure each one is going in the same direction. You assign captains, but they get sick. They get drunk. In keeping the boats from crashing into each other, you...

Inside the Mind of the $20 Billion Dollar Man: Elon Musk Internal Letter to Employees

    PEOPLE
That is a good question. My first instinct was that it doesn't matter for SMBs. But we take actions which are not in our best interest. Like tiding up the website or ordering new business cards. Does it matter if these are executed well? Thing is, a company like Tesla is optimized and...

It is. I picked it up from a tech forum I frequent. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a calculated move on his part. Releasing it publicly that is.
