    PEOPLE
You quickly learn who your real friends are once you start on this journey. The one's who you need to keep are the one's who wouldn't care if you were working in the local bar or heading up a CEO position at big corp - people in these forums berate friends like that and only focus on your...

    Tired of this f*cking life

    INTRO
What certificate do you intend to take? I'm turning away Sys-Admins with +3 years experience and CISSP right now so i'm wondering what certification is going to bank 6 figures in one year... My advice would be careful with this route. There are many ways to make 6 figures in a year, but i'm...

    Tuning German Cars

You don't need much for business but you do need these two things; 1) Customers 2) Sales Have you/they done the work to know if you have this? In Europe BMW tuning is everywhere - but that may be a location thing. A lot of it's success will be market need plus marketing. How many German...

How can I market my online course? (Impact millions to make millions)

    SIDE HUSTLE
With course selling in high volumes it's often about selling the personality as much as the product. Who are you? Why should people listen to you? What's your Unique Value Proposition? The best course sellers I know spent time building an online influential brand before pushing courses. A...

WFH due to Covid = More time for your fastlane projects

    MINDSET
Completely agree with this. Companies are offering remote as a perk now and are heavily investing in the set up required for maintaining remote-first workforce's. If you're a specialist in any field you'll have more than your pick of remote options going into 2021.

    Progress? Metal working business

    EXECUTION
Firstly, major respect for pushing through the pain barriers to achieve your dreams. You're a great example of what can be accomplished with willpower and determination. Many people have weeks and months of free time and accomplish none of their ambition. From a business point of view it seems...

Is Wordpress the best platform to build a blog / site?

    EXECUTION
With WordPress you get a highly tuned platform that is as hands-off as possible whilst still supplying you with a wealth of plugins for payment, translation (if/when you expand into new markets), customer relations etc. But the best thing about it is that you can easily hire writers to create...

How Do You Convince A Business Owner That Just Because The Marketing Is Digital...Doesn't Mean It Should be free?

    MARKETING
Personally I try to avoid people like this because the hassle only grows as you get deeper into that relationship. If someone cannot grasp that hours you spend on a task they cannot do brings value to their business for the exchange of money then you're starting at the bottom of the hill with...

I'm going to start the first time.

    INTRO
Hi! My first 'real' business experience was owning a translation studio. I chose that route because I knew it would be difficult to stand out and wanted to learn how to market a business in a competitive field. It was a worthwhile experience and I managed to get some recurring custom but the...

Where can I design my website?

    SIDE HUSTLE WEB DESIGN
If the cost and censorship of WP/Wix/SquareSpc are an issue I might recommend Git-Hub pages - connect the domain to GH and run a jekyll site which will give you a handy local-side blog set up for a static solution. You would have to write your posts in a Mark-down editor though. All of this is...

Dealing with your current life in pursuit of your dream life...

    PEOPLE
I'm with the other poster. When you are young you feel like these things are so big - but they are nothing. People end up staying in terrible situations for far too long because of the fear of change and the possibility of failure - but that's a part of business and the earlier you learn it...

Process.... What am I missing or overlooking?

    EXECUTION
You sound like you really do have most bases covered, I think if you can get past the outbound part - which it seems will be an area you have massive strength in then there's no reason you can't succeed from the outside. I guess my only advice would be to always ensure you are dealing with the...

    How I deal with distraction.

    MINDSET
Sure, I actually combine part of it with 'The personal MBA' and it's part on internal drivers. The drive to bond, the drive to feel, the drive to learn, the drive to acquire and the drive to defend. I then sit down with my student and we will first first look at popular businesses we all use...

    Confused between options

    INTRO
I give this incredibly contentious advice to every computer grad that end's up hating their degree. If you hate it now you're not going to enjoy it anymore when you're at the starting ladder competing against every other new grad for brownie points to rise up the ladder. Having led teams of...

    How I deal with distraction.

    MINDSET
How to deal with painful memories In this part I want to discuss something that many people don't like discussing 'vulnerability' and pain. For some of us by the time we reach the age of 30 will be carrying some kind of emotional pain. It can be from serious life events such as sexual assault...

Machine learning freelancer with a dream

    INTRO
Good job on finding your weak point - it sounds so simple but many people don't take the time to do the work on themselves. Good luck with the initial market test, do you have any plan/processes for what happens if everything goes exactly as you dream?

The Sidewalk Would Be An Upgrade For Me: J0elsuf's Intro And Story

    INTRO
Hi, I saw many people like yourself in my time when I was homeless, history of sexual assault, and then many also had histories of substance abuse to hide the pain of sexual assault/other stuff and the cycle of shame, guilt and everything that entails. Some made it, most didn't. I'd say...

Process.... What am I missing or overlooking?

    EXECUTION
Purely anecdotal but I always like to start with the trademark. I find that process can be either super easy or endlessly pedantic. I had one company where the name was too similar to a major game title and I think IIRC the application for the trademark was then suspended to see if a claim would...

My job interview went well but....

    OFF-TOPIC
You will see all sorts of advice for this on the internet 'do contact/don't contact' Personally with jobs I prefer not to have my eggs in one basket so I always follow up with a quick email asking them how the your application is going etc. From anecdotal experience a long wait is usually not...
