Franchising is a waste of time!!

    INTRO
Franchises are a GREAT option for people with money, but minimal business skills. If I had bought a franchise rather than start my own business, it would have easily saved me 5 years of painful learning. But I wouldn't know near as much as I know now, and wouldn't have nearly as many options for...

Gary V is great at social media marketing. You can definitely learn from him there. But as far as general business advice - he drops plenty of nuggets that are absolutely TRUE they just aren't HELPFUL. But his audience is mostly wantrapreneurs, what do you expect?

How to get out of the profession you're in and become an entrepreneur

    HOT! MINDSET
I know a Chiropractor who owns 4 clinics. He is a business owner, not stuck doing Chiropractic care all day.

How to get out of the profession you're in and become an entrepreneur

    HOT! MINDSET
Obviously, opening a Chiropractic Clinic is the most logical step for you to becoming an Entrepreneur. You have 2 options - work for a Chiropractic clinic that will let you eventually let you have equity / majority interest in a clinic, or find an investor to open your own clinic, with enough...

About to shut down my 4 years restaurant business ...

    HOT!
Restaurants are considered the WORST businesses to own for a reason. Second would probably be brick & mortar retail (which I own).

About to shut down my 4 years restaurant business ...

    HOT!
You were sold a dream instead of a reality. You had no experience, no capital, nothing to help you succeed aside from a father that never did what you wanted to do. Start small. Build up. Minimize risk.

(Movie) The Founder (Ray Kroc McD's Story)

The best "entrepreneur" movie I've seen. Of course it's light on details, but it shows ups/downs, and relentlessness needed (though you can say Ray took it too far).

Fashion Retailer Bebe Closing All Stores.

    HOT!
The middle class has been killed the past 15 years. That's what built and supported all these stores. Ecommerce has just been eating b&m retail, but now they are both starting to hurt. Notice that many ecommerce businesses are starting to go B&M/get acquired. That's because they have run out of...

Clearing your mind and gaining clarity - What do you do?

    MINDSET
Yes, no food - just water for 3 days. I allow coffee personally. I've gone 7 days - plan to do 40. The physical hunger (which isn't actually hunger) goes away completely after 3 days.

Clearing your mind and gaining clarity - What do you do?

    MINDSET
Extended water fast (at least 3 days) provides more mental clarity than you ever thought possible.

What do you think of Grant Cardones stuff?

It has value, but really needs to be paired with some sense. Grant is a workaholic with no perspective on highest value task, 80/20 type perspective.

    Fastlane Success from repurposed marketing

    MARKETING
I'm suffering from terrible poison ivy rash I got over a week ago and it keeps spreading. I've tried every ointment, prescription, and even got a steroid shot at the Doctor and nothing has helped. Finally, I googled "miracle poison ivy relief" and stumbled across this product "Zanfel Poison Ivy...

In the next 30 years, the world will see much more pain than happiness

    HOT!
In America, 25 year olds today are much worse off than their parents were. More debt, less opportunities. The internet and robots were a contributing factor, but not the driving force. They will continue to play a role, but they are not to blame.

    If You Were A Moderator

    HOT!
The different forums are confusingly setup. I'd like to see less categories. The biggest thing I'd like to see is more frequent new threads that aren't "help me" or "I'm new". Book reviews, discussions of entrepreneurial videos/blog posts, and success stories - even if it's a link to someone...

    Fastlane Parenting (Tips, Tactics...)

    GOLD! PEOPLE
Awesome post! Just clarification, but QUALITY of time is vitally important. Meaning - if you are near your child but they are staring at the TV and you are staring at your phone - that barely qualifies as time together.

    Fastlane Parenting (Tips, Tactics...)

    GOLD! PEOPLE
The Millionaire Fastlane is, basically, taking "the red pill" - opting for a better, though more painful, path than the rest of society. It's questioning deeply held beliefs. The same logic must be applied to parenting. We send my son to Montessori, and will un-school him after that. We will...
