HBF – Home Building Factory from plantation timber [Progress thread]
SCALING EXECUTION FEEDBACKI know you have experience doing this, but do you really need the tens of millions of budget? What's the point? Build something and iterate later. As you'll start getting profits, buy more equipment later. Make sure that it's movable so that you can switch a location later. I don't have...- MRiabov

Scaling an exterior cleaning business
EXECUTIONDaily update: I've set ads to $100 for a few days, total spend is 173$, got 7 leads, totalling jobs worth of about 350EUR jobs. FB shows me that I'm overspending 201%. Stopped FB ads for now. However, 100% of those jobs were qualified. When the customer called me they wanted me there. And I...- MRiabov

Experiment: hiring students as salespeople for d2d home services?
MARKETINGSup, Facebook ads start to work for me, however here's the problem: I've logged 50km today on an electric bike delivering them, while on my average day selling d2d, I would drive to one spot and "clear" the region out (as in window cleaning, of course) And something I noticed about Irish...- MRiabov

$3,382 in MRR. What's the next best move?
HOT! SCALINGHey, one strategy that I used in B2B cold-calling is... If you are cold calling representatives of a particular licenced trade, you can find their phone numbers listed on official websites. E.g. Architects Associations of Ireland has hundreds or thousands of names, business names, etc listed on...- MRiabov

Starting (and Fastlaning) a lawn care service business
GOLD! HOT!What's crazy (?) is that this seems to be the constant advice given in the self-improvement communities, including MJ's books. But on the other hand... If you stay with many of the BS people in your life - unfortunately for many of us with out families and previous friends - they will...- MRiabov

Scaling an exterior cleaning business
EXECUTIONThere was this book "ruthless management" that said that "one" is the worst number in business. I have expected one new employee to come for a working day interview I had scheduled 5 jobs some 30 km away from my living location, and expected a new employee to drive me to them. First day of the...- MRiabov

Post all of your ideas and random problems you’ll never execute on...
GOLD! HOT! IDEASup. This is an idea I (hope) I will execute on, but: Everyone is pursuing autonomous robotics using AI, which is great (I've done AI for a year), however, here's something simpler: We can use low-skilled labor in 3rd world countries to teleoperate the robots for many tasks, e.g. grocery shops...- MRiabov

Post all of your ideas and random problems you’ll never execute on...
GOLD! HOT! IDEAI had this exact issue before. Two things that solved it for me: eating less and drinking less. I used to load myself with 5000kcal daily for no particular reason, and drink 4-8L of water every day. Why? I was miserable and I thought "bulking" was a solution to some of my problems. But anyway...- MRiabov

GOLD! HOT! IDEAthat's called print-on-demand. so many of them. for any type of clothing. Some people even tried the print on demand reselling scheme... it's one of those "notoriously failing" business models, as far as I know.- MRiabov

Scaling an exterior cleaning business
EXECUTIONYes, obviously, but it's just more of a question of "why are my clicks almost 5€?" Edit: made new ad video: View: https://youtu.be/oSxsQ5L7NyM Edit two days later: I had a fade in from black auto-suggested by Descript, and it made forms look black: So far... yesterday I had 2 leads at...- MRiabov

Post all of your ideas and random problems you’ll never execute on...
GOLD! HOT! IDEAWell, there's a big difference between a car park, and a bike park, I'd argue. car parks are in general in places meant for car parks, and bicycle stations are on sidewalks/similar. Anywhere I go, they are usually almost too overcrowded with bicycles. Think 2 bicycles per user, which makes...- MRiabov

GOLD! HOT! IDEASup. Somebody asked for an input on ideas in green industry, I have an idea I personally need/wanted to do myself, but have no desire to do it as it involves bureaucracy, managing employees and skills I don't necessarily possess: In ireland, electric scooters and e-bikes are becoming popular (in...- MRiabov
