LIX - The 3D Printing Pen

    OFF-TOPIC
This is really cool, and the kickstarter goal is impressive. This is something that I would buy, I'd use it a couple of times to show it off, and then I would never touch it again. Very cool though!

    I WANT to LiVE

    EXECUTION
If you don't like your life, change it! If you don't like your friends, get new ones. If you don't like where you live, move. whatever aspect of your life you are not happy with, change it, it's as simple as that. You need to get your priorities straight, if you are so low on money, why are you...

Admitting there's a problem is the first step.

    NOTABLE! MINDSET
I love this post so much. This is true. My "mentor" is the CFO of a fortune 100 company, and she has told me many times that if you are trying to talk to someone powerful (like a CEO) address them by their full name, and say it with confidence as if you do in fact personally know the CEO, CFO...

Hey! That's awesome and what a small world, I actually graduated from Plano in 2012! I still live in Plano, but you are right- it's not often that I meet people around my age here that have the same mindset and goals as I do.

    $2K to 1M in 36 months

    EXECUTION
I think that your problem is that you haven't thought past step 1. Don't get me wrong, raising capital is important, but it isn't the most important. This is all just my opinion, but I think that your first priority needs to be to develop your business plan and your idea, because without an...

What Magazines Do Fastlane Millionaires Read?

    HOT!
Entrepreneur Magazine is the only physical magazine I have a prescription to, but I read Forbes, Wired, and Inc. on a daily basis.

(First Post) Starting A Fitness Apparel Company: My Plan

    EXECUTION
I think your idea is really good. The only thing I can add is that I think it is very important to find a way to stand out from the competition because this space is very competitive, and another thing that is important is to have quality fabric. I am female who works out a lot, and I am VERY...

What are your thoughts on a person creating an online store with no knowledge of coding/programming?

    WEB/DIGITAL
I don't know much about selling books online, but i do know how to code. I agree with you, I think that learning to code for your purpose would be a waste of time. There are a lot of alternative options that are available that would complete that task just as well, so there is no reason to learn...

I can't seem to find motivation

I think that it is normal to lack motivation every once in a while, but you need to find that thing that really pushes the motivation inside of you. I know that with myself, my dream is to own a Lamborghini, and so one of the things I like to do is go look at different Lamborghini forums. It's...

    4 hour sleep cycle

Thanks everyone for the feedback! @Vagabond 007 you make a good point. I remember a while ago I was watching a show about sleep, and this scientist basically said that the science community doesn't know why we sleep, and that the best explanation they have for why we need it is because we get...

    4 hour sleep cycle

That's actually a really good point and I never thought about it that way, as far as the sleep schedule of people 200 years ago- but it makes sense. I agree, a lot of people nap because they are lazy, I try my best not to nap unless it is absolutely necessary, but every once in a while I'll take...

How many women are on the fastlane forum

    HOT! PEOPLE
I'm the exact same way, I really like when people underestimate me. It is so irritating that it helps me work so much harder, because I absolutely need to prove them wrong. But I am a female here as well, and though I have only been on this forum a short time, I don't see any issues with the...

    Power of Association

    MINDSET
I think that just because someone is not an entrepreneur or because someone works a 9-5 job, that doesn't mean they gave up on their dreams. My sister is an elementary school teacher, she works a ton of hours, and makes crappy pay, but that is what she has always wanted to do. Since she was in...

    4 hour sleep cycle

So was it miserable for you to get into the habit of only sleeping 3-4 hours a day? I would like to start "training" my body to get used to that sleep schedule but am not looking forward to the process of doing it. I feel like you'd be really tired the first few weeks. I am the exact same way...

What does being a millionaire mean to you?

    HOT!
That is very true. I am not a millionaire but last week I was talking with a guy who works in the same industry I am in the process of getting into. I knew he was a millionaire, but I didn't know how rich he was until he nonchalantly started talking about his $3,000,000 yacht he just bought. I...
