Borrowing Money to Attend 2018 Fastlane Summit

    HOT! EXECUTION
Again, it was nice meeting you at the summit. What it sounds like you are struggling with is a sense of direction and purpose. Some people have lots of it, while others not so much. Nothing wrong with that since we are all different. You said you're not sure what your biggest takeaway would be...

The Official 2018 Fastlane Summit Event Thread

    MEETUPS
Please do. Maybe a make a separate thread on the origins and early days of this meetup where some of the old timers can chip in and reminisce. I have seen a few old pics and heard tidbits but not the full story :) Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

I couldn't resist the temptation of putting together a quick "video" (even though I regretfully didn't shoot any actual video during the event, lol). Yes..I know, I know... Eskil...you're "that video stabilizer guy" and all you came up with is a slideshow? Lol... :D Next year I'll try to get...

Lol, yeah....I'm not gonna mention names but out of 120 attendees I only spoke with ONE person who felt like this summit "wasn't what he expected" and that the presentations were supposedly "disappointing". :jawdrop: I thought... seriously dude?.. if you can't see value in a MASSIVE treasure...

    MEETUPS
Starting to see new progress threads being made as a result of attending the summit. I encourage all the first timers who attended the summit, and who feel like they have not yet made much progress (or are maybe new to all of this), to: 1) Create yourself a progress thread. It will help keep...

Exactly. The first thing I do now after these events is this: I sit down at my computer, take out all of my notes, ideas, new connections, and everything else that I learned - and I put them all into actionable items in Trello. Right now is the perfect time to bring up this super valuable...

Fell into the Video Game Trap

    HOT!
If you think that game is amazing, you need to try Battlefield 1. Even better graphics too IMO. And by the way, the wrong approach to video games is using it as to cope with avoidance. Video games be incredibly fun, a great stress reliever, and a good way to recharge your mental batteries -...

I just sold my first eCommerce business (FU money!)

    NOTABLE!
Add to this that the amount of data you are sitting on can also affect valuation and your multiplier. Data as in, email lists, size of your FB pixel list, subscribers, etc.

Man, I'm away from the forum for a couple of days and missed this. HUGE congratulations my friend!! Good for you :) I'm really excited too to see how far you can take the current business. I remember you showing us your early product samples at poker night. Congrats on that rapid growth as well :)

I already told you how amazing I think these look ;) but I'm also curious from a production perspective - these will require some new molds, right?

    Do I need to create/manufacture a product?

I highlighted the most important words right there. Long term. Flipping stuff on Amazon from Alibaba (or dropshipping through Shopify) can be good short term, to learn the ropes of sourcing, listing, learning about selling, build up some cash, etc. But as @Luk391 pointed out - for long term -...
