Even though you and I talk in private, I still enjoy reading your updates here. They are well written out and really shows a very nice thought process and thoroughness. I think other readers of this thread will find it very useful - even if you're not sharing specifics. The concepts can still be...

Amen... Having children is truly one of the most amazing things in the world. It really humbles you and reinforces you to think about what really matters in life. :)

New free tool for gathering some quick market intel..

Lots of research tools come and go, but the new FollowScout is kind of interesting. I thought to share it here for those who are looking into entering a market - to see what potential competitors are doing, where/how they are advertising, etc. Like any such tool - some of the information will...

A personal goal reached, and I didnt know it :)

    MINDSET
I really like your likes/posts ratio concept for gauging contribution and helpfulness towards others. That is a great way to look at it. I really do enjoy helping others too, no matter what level of success they have had in life. As I grow older - like you - I see more and more the infinite...

Publishing on Kindle – How to “guideâ€

    IDEA
And let's not forget that most "magazine" type content online is written heavily for SEO or to drive up site/page impressions. Old school editors and staff writers are often not accustomed to this style of content generation.

Publishing on Kindle – How to “guideâ€

    IDEA
The chief editor of Reader's Digest (who are filing bankruptcy for the 2nd time) was recently asked this same question. His response was that the transition is harder for traditional paper publications than what people think. He said it is not at all like when we went from radio to tv - tv was...

Just launched a crowdfunding campaign - Indiegogo

With Indiegogo though, I think you get to keep the funds even if the goal isn't met.

Just launched a crowdfunding campaign - Indiegogo

Agreed. Looks cool, but one thing I would do on the Facebook (and maybe even inside the video) is some photos of people modeling the sunglasses. Maybe ask some students or someone if they wouldn't mind volunteering for some model shots, just so people can see what they look like on someone's...

Thanks. Since this thread (and my own, but I might have MJ move mine to the Insider's) are both public, I rather keep some of it under wraps or discuss it in private. ;)

Eskil's Progress Thread: Starting a Supplement Business from Scratch

    EXECUTION
UPDATE: Yesterday I finally placed my first order with the manufacturer! I have also settled on an entirely new label design which looks nothing like the ones I showed you guys before. Now I have to wait a few weeks before I receive the shipment, but in the meantime I am working on content and...

    trademarks, domain names, and ethics

    WEB/DIGITAL
Yes. If they own the trademark, they can easily claim the rights to the domain. Some years ago, there was a guy in Norway who owned Google.no, and sold sunglasses on it. I imagine he did pretty well...until Google came around and took the domain away from him with no problem.

Very good job man. Speed+ for the dedicated progress you have made... P.S. I really like the idea of including the little signed card encouraging people to send in a pic of themselves. Nice touch!

    Need Opt-in Form Help

    WEB/DIGITAL
"Free ebook" sure beats "Coffeemaker Guide" though. :) You can even use "Free Book", as I see this is more and more commonly used these days even though an ebook is all that is offered. You could have it converted to Kindle format too, and mention that it is a "Kindle book". I would also think...
