23 year old Dutch men! :-)

    INTRO
Hello and welcome, the #1 solution against this particular "limbo-state" could just be trying new things out. Also remember, that at first almost everything will be hard or frustrating until you "get it". From this follows #2, give things time to develop. And ultimately, #3, make frequent...

    MINDSET FEATURED!
Thank you all for the great ideas! I'd like to add something I found really helpful: posting an upcoming decision in this forum and get the best responses from multiple perspectives, from people who often seem to really know what they're talking about.

    HOT!
If you are more visually inclined, I would like to share something I found originally very useful for digital drawing references. It works very easy and you can have any picture you like floating on top all the time, of course coupled with screenshots of any text. But foremost it is really very...

Woah, thanks. This could come in handy sometime... Like how this confirms the anxiety-inducing effect of coffeine. This stuff is powerful. One of the reasons I answer the question "May I offer you some coffee?" when meeting clients with "Thanks, but I'll take water, please."

Hi WestCoast, just wanted to suggest TinkerCAD to you! This program is awesome and gets you started quickly with 3D. If you also need a platform to manufacture your first ideas quickly with lots of different materials, I suggest Shapeways. (No affiliations, just think they provide good value and...

Need advice on a specific idea to make my biz more fastlane-ish

    IDEA
Hi guys, since I always read so much good advice here I'm daring to post a problem that bothered me for a while. Short background: I am a 3D-Designer and I offer 3D models for printing, casting and rendering. Since my work is paid by the hour, this is obviously not fastlane. So I have come up...

Very quick way of validating an idea to see if people pay for it

    IDEA
Awesome. Please let me know how that went. Mind that some people might be put off by that approach. The site I recently saw gave the option of opting in to the free beta as soon at it was ready. Might be another way of keeping people in the loop.

Very quick way of validating an idea to see if people pay for it

    IDEA
Hi guys, This is an interesting and fairly easy approach to testing if your new software idea will be attracting paying customers. It is applying the concept of the "lean startup method" This is not new, but I thought I'd share it here because it works and gives you fast validation. Of course...

    MINDSET RANT
Maybe not Netflix, but what about Youtube? High quality content like this would get a lot of views. Edit: Woops, just discovered this already is on Youtube and also part of a series. Why, I have good ideas, haven't I? ;)

Hate mail, Volume 1: I tried that once!

    MINDSET RANT
This video is so cutely drawn and at the same time motivational! I agree that this could be very well made into a series. The Mondrian on the wall is a nice touch. It is too easy sometimes to not imagine you - and some of the other successful persons on here - as an Ubermensch, MJ. I admit...

    NOTABLE! MARKETING
From my own experience: Sending only mail/letter without any personalization: into the trash it goes. Only if there is a very real proposal of making more money and sales that fits my business I might consider looking at it. Call and give solution offering with free value upfront: might be...

    You're from where??

    HOT! INTRO
Germany, up north. This region is known for excellent marzipan. Earlier the city of Lübeck was an important part of the Hanse and merchants did much import and export from all over the world. When this city was under siege long ago, the people didn't have enough food, but a big stock of imported...
