    Thesis On Entrepreneur Thinking

Responded to the survey. I also did not answer some questions as they really didn’t make sense. Hope this helps.

    Organic flavoring with consumables

Even @Greg R can back me up and he’s not a food guy... This recent food investor conference we went to, EVERYTHING was plant based focused. People would walk up to my table, learn we weren’t plant based and walk away.

    Organic flavoring with consumables

“Carnivore” is a fad though. Plant based is more than vegan, it’s a macro trend. Our environment and population growth literally can support much more cow farming. Being able to replace costly and inefficient bovine farming with highly efficient agriculture, that’s the future.

    Organic flavoring with consumables

Plant based products are huge right now. Almost ever food conference is focused towards it. Just be aware, everyone else is focused on this trend too. After the Impossible and Beyond Meat IPO’s, lots of money is flooding to this sector. The good thing is though, lots of money is flooding this...

    The Shark Tank questions thread

I have a friend who struck a deal with Robert on the show but it fell through afterwards. A lot of it had to do with the founder though. I also know another company that actually made a deal with Cuban before the show, and they pretend pitched on the show.

    Organic flavoring with consumables

First, I'll say that you aren't going to be first to market, not even 10th to market for "organic flavors". There are some very large, very innovative companies out there with hundreds of scientists working for them. Take for example AIDP Home | AIDP They are an ingredients and flavors...

Before you made your first $1 online, did you ever felt like giving up?

    EXECUTION RANT
Well, this thread just derailed quickly. 50% of my revenue is from wholesale, which is offline. When my business hits its peak, wholesale will account for 90% of my revenue. Thinking online business is somehow superior to offline business is a really short sited way to view business.

Do you guys accept Paypal payment option? If so, how do you deal with chargebacks / disputes?

    EXECUTION
It depends on what your products cost... But MJ really hit the nail on the head. My products cost $6/unit. If someone wants to scam me out of a $6 bottle of salad dressing... ok, cool. Its a write off. If you're selling computers and someone swindles $1,000 off you, you need to have a much...

    Herbal Supplement Labels

Wayyy to high. I pay $0.11/label right now for salad dressing bottles. Once you get to scale, you’ll want to print with traditional plate printing. You spend a few hundred on the plates, but after that, your price per unit is dirt cheap. It sounds like they’re doing digital printing which lets...

Found a Need like MJ in the Aviation Field. Am i headed in the right direction or chasing a fulfilled Market?

This I definitely get.. but is there a big enough market for a whole app that takes a 10% cut of booking fees from this? And how many student pilots have their own plane to use? I’d venture less than 10%. I’m just not seeing the scale here.

Found a Need like MJ in the Aviation Field. Am i headed in the right direction or chasing a fulfilled Market?

Strong barrier to entry.. sure. But right direction... not so sure on that. As a guy who got half way through pilot training but ran out of cash, I'd never cycle through CFI's. I want to find one I get along with and stick with them. Also, its not really that hard to find a CFI in all honesty...

I'm also fairly certain you need to have specific insurance if you're doing training in your plane as well. After all, students put a LOT of wear and tear on landing gear and frame from not so graceful landings.

How much equity should I give this All-Star?

    NOTABLE! PEOPLE
We've reached an agreement. Bob (not his real name) will be given 15% equity in my company, which will vest over 4 years. I see this as a win for both of us. The experience he brings to the company is incredible. But more importantly, the legitimacy his name and experience bring will be helpful...

Maybe I'm missing something here.. Is this like, Uber for CFI's? Because, if I'm a GA pilot and putting around in my C172.. why would I want to hire a copilot for $40/4? Also, if I'm a student, why would I hire random CFI's... Don't most students want to stick with a consistent trainer/course?

Completely agree. And mine would be, if I had the right capital to seed the company from the get go. I actually tried being pretty conservative with some of my ratings. However, things like market size and replication, I had to rate pretty high (10% of the worlds population, food's easy to...

I have 6 competitors in my entire market in the US, only 1 I take seriously. You probably have 5,000+ competitors. Which market is easier to stand out in?

10 years ago everyone was a “paid blogger”. 5 years ago everyone was “developing an SaaS company” Now, everyone who has a rudimentary understanding of Facebook and AdWords is “starting a digital marketing agency” The market is so over saturated it’s not even funny. Do you know how many...
