Made $10,000 But Just Starting Out (My Humble Beginnings)

    INTRO
Welcome to the forum! Believe it or not, you’ve already accomplished so much more than many of the people here. Definitely check out the Gold Threads here. There is so much information in those threads, it’s like a mini-MBA. If you’re looking for one here... start following some of the top...

    2019 Fastlane Summit - Announcement

    MEETUPS
I’m not sure if MJ has any control over the layout and styling on Tapatalk. iirc Tapatalk just scrapes the forum and puts it into its own layout. I tried using Tapatalk once and got horribly confused. The layout on mobile tends to be better organized. Time to upgrade to that new iPhone Xs Max!

Yeah, I saw Dunedin and Tarpon got some flooding. But, those places are pretty used to it for the most part. I’m working South Tampa today and it’s completely dry which is weird, because it floods so easily here too.

    Hurricane Michael

    PEOPLE
That was the biggest problem here. Pat last week the weatherman was saying “oh we have this little system by the Yucatán, but don’t worry, it won’t even develop into a system” Then in a matter of days, like 2, it went from Tropical Storm at landfall to Cat 4 at landfall. This is the worst kind...

    You’re not selling wholesale?

    NOTABLE!
Psst @Paul David and @njord as informative as this is, let’s try and keep this thread in topic to wholesaling. Building email lists for amazon won’t help anyone pursuing retail distribution.

    You’re not selling wholesale?

And once you both validate your market, get good reviews, and show a documented sales trajectory, all of that can be put into a marketing effort for wholesale.

    You’re not selling wholesale?

    NOTABLE!
I started the minute I had actual product in hand. For your situation, and most others, this question answers your first one. Always validate your market first. You may need to pivot or change things before you make it to mass market. In my instance, there just isn’t anyone making this...

Somewhere, someone is training to kill you

    MINDSET
Well, I mean, it was the Marine Corps... It boils down to this. If you build your business believing that every minute you are being lazy, you competition is working hard to build a better company, you’ll never be behind. The point is to never be complacent. Complacency kills.

NO ONE cares about your business

    HOT! EXECUTION
I’m bumping this thread because I’ve gotten complacent. I’ve lost days, weeks, of valuable time on three separate instances. I didn’t check on the production schedule of my products, so now I’ve lost weeks. I haven’t checked up on the banker submitting my SBA loan, it’s been 12 days since...

Somewhere, someone is training to kill you

    MINDSET
I’m bumping this thread because I haven’t been active enough in my business this past couple of weeks. So, did you do enough today to make sure your competitor doesn’t slit your throat?

What makes you different from Vitacost? Or Thrive Market?

Convince me not to use WIX for Ecommerce

    MARKETING
You've got a sunk cost mindset going on here. You've put time into building your Wix site, so you're hesitant to give it up or change. But, is this the best option for long term success? Think about what your website will be used for 80% of the time. If its to sell your product and generate...

Convince me not to use WIX for Ecommerce

    MARKETING
Agree with the above. If you’re just trying to sell a single product, go with Shopify. It’s made for ecommerce. I use WordPress and WooComerce, but thats because I need my site/store to handle a lot of blog type information (articles, recipes, education).

The best way to make f*ck you money, Entrepreneurship or High paying employment ?

    HOT! MINDSET
See, there is your problem. You don’t think anyone can build a company and exit it. Maybe it’s because of the difference in perspective between our up bringing. In America, we have the American Dream. Anyone can work hard and succeed. And it happens, every day. It’s happened here on the...

    2019 Fastlane Summit - Announcement

    MEETUPS
Frankly, I have neither the means nor the time to spearhead an event. That being said, if someone like @Kung Fu Steve or @GlobalWealth were to take point, I would definitely volunteer to support that effort.

The best way to make f*ck you money, Entrepreneurship or High paying employment ?

    HOT! MINDSET
I make $120,000 at my day job. Cost of living where I live, to earn that much from my day job is high. Saving half of that is completely impossibe, considering 33% of that money goes to taxes. So, if I save $60K per year, for 10 years, that $1.6 million. But, I have to live off of $20,000 for...

I replied to your PM, but I think its important to post publicly what I said to you (just this, nothing else private) Make sure you have your target market identified. Your market is just as important as your recipe. If you bake the best tasting protein bar you've ever tasted... who cares...
