Completely lost guy looking for some way to practice business (preferrably online)

    QUESTION
It sounds like personal growth is what you need. You need to learn to be uncomfortable. Business often means you need to speak with people and go outside of your comfort zone. Make a habit of doing one unconfortable thing each day. Personally, I think going out into the real world and providing...

    Starting a carpet cleaning business

    NOTABLE! HOT! EXECUTION
You can ask people to fill out survey's for a discount if you really want to find out why people call rather than message online, or you can save the money and cater to those who call. Personal, I would rather call. More personalized and I can get things scheduled quickly, and I can ask all...

    Starting a carpet cleaning business

    NOTABLE! HOT! EXECUTION
It doesn't seem you have a USP problem. It seems your problem is not closing sales. If you are unable to answer your phone due to work, could you hire someone for cheap? For instance a virtual assistant. Another option could be that you hire one of your parents or relatives or someone who...

    Remote US jobs

    IDEA
Many online service based jobs can be done in USD or any other currency. You could start by looking at what online services you can provide to those who own USD. Due to most of these service type businesses having a low barrier to entry, competition is pretty tight. If you develop a skill then...

Hi! I'm 3/4 of the way through a kindle e-book that espouses slow lane strategies.

    INTRO
If you want to have any credibility, you have to believe what is being written. On the contrary, some people want to live in the slow lane and someone will cater to them. Is that you? Only you can decide the type of author you want to be.

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread

    HOT! CHAT
This has me torn. On the one side, free-market thinkers and libertarians want everyone to leave each other alone(this is me in an ideal world). Left-wing ideologues don't believe you should have the freedom to think and say what you want so naturally, they will help steer the country to the...

Should I go on this 5-month trip to Canada?

    OFF-TOPIC
If money is tight, you should have a very strong why for going to Canada. Is this just an experiance or will you be learning something very specific here? Is this the only place where you can learn this topic? I did something something similar. I went to IB school in Denmark for a year, as im...

    Pet buying/adopting app

    IDEA
Are you looking for validation on the idea, simply stating your idea, or looking for suggestions? First, validate your idea by going to these animal shelters and asking their opinion on this business. They are one half of the equation. They will be far better at giving you feedback.

How to start B2B business on a low budget?

    IDEA
As @Kak said above, you don't need your own money. I will add one caveat, you can try and make deals where you pay AFTER you sell a product, it is called consignment. This means that a supplier would send you product and you market/sell the product. Only when you get a sale do you turn around...

What would be better for a teenager to spend their time in, working a minimum wage job or learning profitable skills?

    INTRO
Learning new skills is far more valuable than the small amount of money you can make as a teenager. That being said, learning skills would involve going out into the real world and asking someone of relative success if you can work for them at no cost until they think you are worth minimum wage...

How To CopyCat A Business & Win? (SaaS)

    EXECUTION
Even if you were a mirror image of the other company, you will take a slice of the pie. Find a USP and roll with it. There are dozens of types of bags of chips(wavy, baked, different flavors, etc). I'm sure you can add something unique on top of the main portion of the SAAS model. Also, rarely...

What skills should one learn to start a business in 2023?

    IDEA QUESTION
You're starting a tech sales job. Forget other skills. Get good at this one skill and it can carry you far in business. Read as many books as you can on sales. There are many of them. I'm just starting out on reading this topic so I'm limited in my recommendations. Two that I know of: 1. SPIN...

Looking For Perspectives On Using Debt As Income vs Paying Yourself An Income

    INVESTING
I don't know "WWMJD" but in regard to inflation and debt. It is generally thought to be good to have debt when inflation is high. Example: 10% inflation rate + 5% intrest rates would equal -5% real rate which mean 5% of the debt gets devalued each year. In regards to if you should take on debt...

Coffee / Stimulants? Yay or Nay?

    MINDSET
I have never drank coffee. Don't need to. I will only drink 5-hour energy if I am driving for more than 5 hours to keep me awake and focused, which is more for safety. Most people I speak with seem to be unable to function without coffee. I presume that is a skewed sample of people as only...

    Import/Export to India

    SOURCING
Correct. I do plan to use both a good freight forwarder and the warehouse that I am looking at seems to have a solid logistical infrastructure. As of now, my main focus is ensuring all products are compliant with all applicable US laws so that I can properly sell them, so logistics is one thing...

    A weapon manufacturing enterprise

    EXECUTION
This is 100% correct. To add to this, you need to learn one way or another how to make weapons. Don't ask me how to make them, I have no idea(I'm clean FBI). For instance, if you want to make guns, becoming a gunsmith would be pretty important. Outside of guns, I have not the slightest clue...
