Ebola in the USA... Anyone Concerned?

    HEALTH
I kind of feel bad saying this, but since it's in the US I assume more effort will be put into (1) preventing it, and (2) coming up with a cure or better treatment for those who get it.

Close to launching my first kindle book, critiques?

    PUBLISHING
Hey guys. My first kindle book will be out in about a week. It will be titled "50 Consecutive Pushups: Calisthenics Base Building" or something very similar. Anyways, I've got to have the text portion finished and polished up before I do the videos and blog, so I'd like some feedback on the...

What to do when "giving value" comes back to bite you?

Doing all of that isn't quite what I consider "giving value." It sounds like you just have a hard time saying no to people and do too many favors/are too nice.

New Social Network Blowing Up (Exciting!)

I thought venture capital was this: Investors give you money for an agreed upon return and an option to buy them out in x amount of years (lets say 5 years) If ello is successful after those 5 years, they could just buy out the investors share of the company, no? Since when did getting...

Two great ideas so far, thanks. And yes, my Mother will have no part in the review process :D

Put out finished product OR just put SOMETHING out there?

What are your guys' thoughts on this? I'm working on an e-book, and I can't bring myself to bring it to any kind of market without everything being polished up and ready so that it's "perfect." Obviously nothing is perfect, but I want to be happy with the finished product, but others think it's...

    Trash valet

A contract for one year with college students? A lot of students don't stay in the same house for one full year, and generally speaking, garbage is the last thing on their minds. You may have success with an older demographic.

Why do so many people think advertising is evil?

    MARKETING
It's a gray area for me.. some of the best fitness books out there help people, yes, but they promise ridiculous results that people never achieve. Unfortunately, it's hard to sell things without exaggerating claims since that is what everyone is doing.

Personal awakening is the truest form of activism in these trying times.

This kind of stuff isn't for me.. "And they’re all you, only you can only experience it one at a time. Everybody is I, you all know you’re you, and wheresoever beings exist throughout all galaxies, it doesn’t make any difference. You are all of them. And when they come into being, that’s you...

[AMA] Personal Development - hardcore way

    MINDSET AMA
Sounds interesting.. can you explain a little more about the part where you exhaust your cognitive budget? This happens to me quite often and then I feel like my progress is set back about 5 days every time it happens. So you do those 6 steps whenever you "hit the wall?"

That's pretty much what every self-help book preaches.. replace negative thoughts with positive ones. Have you read Think and Grow Rich or Psycho-Cybernetics?

    EXECUTION
I suppose that's true, but he's past the point of doing that now as it seems he's got an almost complete framework. I see your point, though.

[AMA] Personal Development - hardcore way

    MINDSET AMA
I recorded an affirmation yesterday that goes "I am very proud of my work ethic. I always do what is right, and not what is easy." Is that a good way to word it? I figured falling asleep with it playing might help so that's what I did last night. Is there any benefit to that? I've got it on my...

What the f*ck are they saying

    HOT!
I find it hard to believe an entrepreneurship professor told you not to talk to customers and not to verify a market need. Anyways, I finished a degree in entrepreneurship and a few of my professors were wealthy angel investors. Most of them only taught 1 or 2 classes and were involved with...
