    Possible Niches? Your thoughts

Well space here is not as abundant especially in the south east where it as a premium, so the version of you down south might make a better customer. There's my idea. Find 10 people with the same inventory problem and you can start to consolidate the loads. With enough contracts, (here at...

Big Tech Companies Killing Websites and Small Software?

Why not compete on search? There is a massive amount of unindexed deep web sites. Google is not serving then because it's too busy with all these extras. It's a higher barrier to entry than websites or CRUD apps, but well that's why Google is able to spend a billion on a company.

A viable option to Windows hedgemony...Linux apps on ChromeOS It's not legal anywhere on the continent here, so a trip to the customer is much harder, so not something I'd consider without a local partner. I'm more intrested in hearing your ideas around washer/dryers What problems did you...

A viable option to Windows hedgemony...Linux apps on ChromeOS

TL/DR No way you can do this for $300 to customer without spending more on the hardware than you charge the customer(A lot of Telco companies operate this way, which is why the contracts are so long, they have to make back the cost of the hardware) so with a deep pocketed investor that's not a...

    Possible Niches? Your thoughts

It's still criminal here )up to 5 years in prison for possession,) so that would make it hard for me to find potential customers, willing to go on record compared to finding say fan manufacturers. It would have to be an export job, so I would need someone where it is legal. What can you tell me...

Thanks so whom do updated data sheets add value to then? Who has to added efficiency, noise and vibration? I guess they would like DB levels included. Can you tell me about your job? Do you have to deal with outdated or incomplete datasheets?

Centralization / decentralization discussion roundtable AKA "resisting big tech"

If you want to decentralise, you can deploy and host the site on your own local box. A simple blog can run as a static file or you can run LAMP or some other boring tech. Pop a reverse DNS or two up so people can find you, or run end servers on a couple of vps or Colo from a static ip. Run your...

Centralization / decentralization discussion roundtable AKA "resisting big tech"

The internet is decentralised, that's why we have server racks, rather than mainframes.

    Possible Niches? Your thoughts

I'm looking at a couple of niches were I might be able to add value and wanted to get feedback from people on here. The first idea Suggested by @Late Bloomer in my failed executions thread is the idea of a freelance technical writer, this seems like a good use of my skills. I've tried...

    Looking for German business partner

This sounds like a really interesting problem, I've posted on this forum about my interest in Germany, I'm guessing you have a fair bit of data as well about the customers here. It really is a case of translating to the lower context culture and different language. In most cases, this shouldn't...

    An advertisement I found interesting

    MARKETING
Actually these exist already. ALCOLOCK™ V3 | ALCOLOCK - Ignition Interlocks, Compliance, Breath Testers, Breathalysers in some cases, they can be fitted by court order for drunk drivers. If these were required for all new vehicle and for a vehicle to pass an MOT, we could effectively eliminate...

Plastic pollution - I want to provide value

The third option. The inside of them makes excellent reflectors for heating or cooking. 200C needs a reflector dish, however you could use cloth and make a simple heat reflecting curtain for summer heat waves or for keeping warm in the winter (turn it around). View...

    Copywriting prices in Poland

    SIDE HUSTLE
All the jobs, I've seen are per hourly not per character or per word unit. Where are low skilled content writer jobs with per word unit/character prices in the English speaking market?

Turning $1 into $1000 in NYC in 5 Days

    SIDE HUSTLE
I'd target foreign companies and offer my services as getting them into NYC meetups. By taking a skype tablet with 4g (what $50) and touting it round the subway to the various meetups.

Plastic pollution - I want to provide value

The patent I mentioned earlier solves all of those problems I'm not sure about that at all. If you look at the life cycle of the plastic vs recycling it and shipping it to the first world, which does more harm? Moreover the new slik road, gives a rail connection from China to London anyway...

    I've had enough

    RANT
This is why, though their is an argument for a cheap Bluetooth set over an expensive wired set, since their are less wires to break. I guess I overestimated the cost a little. Were you happy with the LG Pros for those years until you lost them? Would you pay $50 for ones guaranteed to last 5...

Plastic pollution - I want to provide value

No need to make it illegal, just follow the EU example and put a 5 cent charge on all single use plastics. The extra charge and sales tax revenue gives a strong encouragement to people to find alternatives. Even better if you can add the negative externalities into the cost. Essential charge all...
