Help! How do I get another client for my digital marketing business?

    MARKETING
You'll notice that cold calling appears nowhere on this list. I have lots to say about cold calling for lead gen and none of it's good. https://www.thefastlaneforum.com/community/threads/you-gotta-get-traffic-40-ways-to-generate-leads-perry-marshall.114776/

Has Moving to a Warm and Sunny Climate Made You Happier?

    NOTABLE! MINDSET
Colorado, my friend. Colorado. But don't move here because too many people have already moved here. Everyone should head back to California & Texas to support the secession plans. Then move here.

Looking For Perspectives On Using Debt As Income vs Paying Yourself An Income

    INVESTING
Yep, true in my world. Not meaning to sound sarcastic (it's not), but who are you hearing this from?? Are you hearing it from wealthy people?? I know personally or have worked with several dozen self-made people with 7 and 8 figure net worths. Their wealth came primarily from real estate and...

Basic Financial Intelligence is Fastlane: Some Simple Strategies to Use Now.

    GOLD! INVESTING
Ah, right. The tax money isn't yours or the credit card funds. At least you have *part* of the e-fund in place. I finally started using a payroll service because of hating having to put aside money for tax payments. Tough seeing it just sit there.

Basic Financial Intelligence is Fastlane: Some Simple Strategies to Use Now.

    GOLD! INVESTING
Isn't that your emergency fund? It doesn't have to literally be in a piggy bank just somewhere that probably won't deflate too much. Bank savings account is about as safe as you can get. At least you're staying on top of inflation.

My business failed. what the books dont tell you.

    MINDSET
Is the website still visible anywhere? I'm looking at Shopify sites to buy and would love to see a good example visually.

There *is* a lot of great stuff in here. Nice find. My God, the irony that Mr. Beast didn't record an explainer video for the crew is priceless. LMAO.

    General Forum Updates... What's New?

    IMPORTANT!
It has to be a theme setting in that case. I'm using an ancient device called a "laptop" most of the time. The sidebar looks like this: https://monosnap.com/file/ojHNu88IZG5HGoywPM6LsKbn7moZmH

    General Forum Updates... What's New?

    IMPORTANT!
Is the power ratio or whatever it was called gone permanently? It was a little hokey, but still had some value in terms of distinguishing people by contribution value beside just memorizing names.

Rate this idea : "P2P app to sell your food leftovers"

    IDEA FEEDBACK
Friend of mine tossed out a variation of this idea out a couple of months back. Joking around, but not completely ridiculous. I think it came about when talking about handing off low volume food production to local people using their own kitchens. Kind of a cheapo co-packer arrangement. He gets...

ROAST MY IDEA: Conversion Rate Optimization with AI

    IDEA SAAS / APPS
Your friends in the networking group don't think this is already happening in large companies? C'mon. Seems like a hard idea to implement, but not as hard as getting SMBs to do anything marketing related. Maybe more like an agency tool.

I want an app that knows when I'm thinking about doing something myself that should absolutely be hired out. This week's example was many hours of pain and suffering over a technical website issue. Followed by posting a couple of requests and having someone fix it in about thirty minutes without...

A business that make CENTS, but perhaps unrealistic

    IDEA
And that's where you start. Not by worrying about competing with one of the most successful companies in the history of the world. Find a vegan skincare product that meets your moral standards and see whether anyone will buy it. Then find another product. Lather, rinse, repeat. Tom's of...

Best Advice For Buying a Business?

Probably the last person I'd talk to about buying a business is someone who's never purchased one before. Like your accountant. Ignorant response. What would they say about launching a new business vs. buying one? Domain knowledge can be acquired, rented or bought. It's far more important that...

My business failed. what the books dont tell you.

    MINDSET
Excellent job getting going with something. Like you said, lessons learned are useful for life. And you probably wouldn't have listened to anyone more experienced nearly as well as you will in the future. Like me saying "running out of cash" is the #1 reason businesses fail. It ties your...

Am I taking this too far? Idea/personal feedback

    IDEA
Pet idea good. Girlfriend idea bad. It sounds like an excellent way to end a relationship. Would it make any difference whether she was involved or not? Meaning you do your thing and she does hers after coding the site?

How big of a data size should I get for product validation?

    IDEA
That is the crux, right? Barrier to entry is flat line. It would take big $$$ for a "go to market and grow before anyone notices" approach.
