Should we let wunderkinds drop out of high school?

    MINDSET
When I spoke to high schoolers who didn't have college plans for next year back in October there was a reason for that. Councilors, societies expectations, repeated drilling of the idea that these kids aren't smart and have nothing to offer the world, all played into their outlook on the world...

    Should I quit?

Hate to say it, but at those figures there is NO business. That's about $50 per client with 125 clients per year? If you work on that at 40 hours a week for the entire year, you'll end up making $1.80 per hour. The other harsh advice I'd have to offer is a live and learn type revelation. You...

Sounds good man :). I'm on NE 12th and Bellevue way about 2 blocks from downtown Bellevue. Would love to meet up with you sometime as well.

How are you making best of your slow lane?

EastWind, you've been on this forum for 4 years now. It sounds like you're spending more time on perfecting the art of slowlaning than attempting to start your fastlane. What's keeping you from taking the jump, and fully committing? Do it. :D

Unity's Mobile Licenses are now free!

    WEB/DIGITAL
And that's where the risk factor comes in. What I've noticed going to Seattle based events, listening to successful entrepreneurs, and working with other successful companies through my own, is that when you find an idea that you truly believe in, no cost is too high. That's probably how...

clipping coupons and killing your starbucks habit - takes you where?

What I'm wondering is when this place transitioned from TheFastLaneForum.com to TheSlowLaneForum.com. Stop spending 5 hours a week clipping coupons and start spending 5 hours a week providing value to your business. If you don't have a business, well then you're just flat out behind and I...

Unity's Mobile Licenses are now free!

    WEB/DIGITAL
What I'm saying is it's stepping over $100 bills to pick up quarters. If that $400 will enable you to build a cross platform app seamlessly and effectively then it's worth it. I see guys in our local Seattle scene who refuse to adopt them because of the "outrageous" fees, then spend an...

Unity's Mobile Licenses are now free!

As healthstatus it's a game development engine. They do have a 2D toolkit for developing GUI's, but there would be no reason to toss all the overhead into the app just to use it. Also, if you're worried about the $400 fees for some of the pro development kits, then you probably shouldn't be...

i think many are misising the point?

    HOT! EXECUTION
Keyword there: started. I wasn't arguing against all ecommerce, just the majority of bs wordpress sites that pop up with some plugins and the same dropshipper that the majority of people go to. I guess I'll ad this as an argument for dropshipping... I have a mentor who runs a very very very...

Goodluck with that? :smilielol: ZDS had added targeting a smaller fraction for exclusivity with the goal of the whole market. That's not targeting, designing, and producing for a super sub-niche.

Zach Sobiech - come get inspired people

    MINDSET
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NjKgV65fpo According to the link, he passed away yesterday. The video is 22 minutes long. As you already know that time is precious, and you'll believe so even more after watching the video, that is 22 extremely well spent minutes. He was 6 years younger than...

i think many are misising the point?

    HOT! EXECUTION
I think you should take the advice of sell shovels... My first entrepreneurial venture was when I was 12 years old dropshipping products on ebay. The reason why that business ended 10 years ago is the same reason why it's a terrible investment of time today, everyone figured out how to do it...

How would you situate this website into the first google researches?

    WEB/DIGITAL
Step 1 would be to sign up to various websites and post your link. More so sign up to spam and get that SEO backlink. Step 2 would be to repeat this spamming process repeatedly. :dupe: This was not a suggestion, but more an ironic observation.

    HOT! EXECUTION
I completely agree with you... I just ignore those threads now haha. Even though a lot of people seem to think having a bs content site with greyhat and blackhat seo tactics to get ad revenue is "providing value," I'll stay on the path I'm on. ^_^

Developing for iOS first as a marketing strategy?

    MARKETING
I guess digging more into the details of your app? What's it like, how complex? You could quickly develop a C# mono library for your business logic and deploy it to android and ios projects for custom front ends, or even do it with Xamarin's extensions all in C#. You also have the jQuery...

    Extreme sidewalkers on youtube

A friend had sent me the video and I just threw in my 2 cents at the end. Re-analyze your ideological alignment, I don't think you'd line up very "liberal." :)

Glad you added that part. There's an energy drink company here in the Seattle area that is targeted towards Latino's who like soccer... It's a great energy drink that everyone would enjoy, yet they purposely attempt to exclude 90% of their market in the region. I will never understand that...

    Extreme sidewalkers on youtube

I recently responded to a video where I commented about how Cenk from The Young Turks must not realize how money works. I kid you not... I received too many negative votes and was flagged: Un-freaking believable.
