I think after 5 years I quit but what's next?

    HOT! FTE
I saw someone comment about how the whole hustle culture is toxic. My definition of hustle culture would be something to the effect of: The typical internet youtube guru who brags about how he works 80 hour weeks, has 3 businesses and is launching a 4th, and preaches to never stop hustling. He...

Do you have to give up your social life to become rich?

    HOT! PEOPLE
Maybe. It depends on you. Are you really introverted? Do you not care about talking to people, dating girls/guys, having awesome memories with friends? Or are you somewhat depressed and lonely when you're by your self a lot? Do you feel the pull to go out and be social? When you see a girl...

Opinion: Skipping college is not going to make you fastlane

    HOT!
I agree with you. Unfortunately, a lot of parents will want their kids to go to big name schools out of state. When I went to school I went to a local college and paid cash too. A lot of people go to a big name school without a scholarship just for the clout.

Opinion: Skipping college is not going to make you fastlane

    HOT!
Around here, the reason college is bashed so much is because we understand that college isn't what sets you up to be free. There's nuance to this discussion, and that's why I think it's so contentious. Sure, you can go to school, get in a lot of debt/pay a lot of money, and go get a job that...

MASKS: To Wear or Not to Wear? You decide!

    HEALTH
Like others have said previously, there's good arguments on each side for masks and not for masks. Personally I'm of the opinion that masks are largely useless outside of a medical environment, where you're dealing directly with sick people who are coughing/symptomatic. It's mostly just an...

Would you consider this to be ethical?

    OFF-TOPIC
Business is competition. The business owner of the first gym had the very same opportunity to be friendly and build a relationship with his clients. He didn't, so someone acted on an opportunity and "stole" his customers. The problem I see with this is, People who don't understand the free...

I think I grew up a little bit today. Sad happy and proud all at the same time.

    HOT!
Amazing a millionaire, who probably wouldn't even notice $600+/month leaving his account, gets anxiety thinking about car payments. So why is it that brandon working down at the local amazon warehouse making $35k/year so willingly signs an agreement for 72 months of $600 a month payments? I...

The Fear Of Freedom (And Why It Holds You Back)

    MINDSET
The fear of freedom Here at the fastlane forum, We all have diverse sets of goals, But there’s one goal we all share (at least the people who stick around in the community). That goal is freedom. It’s why we read TMF and Unscripted. Freedom is a seemingly good term. If you ask most people...

I think I grew up a little bit today. Sad happy and proud all at the same time.

    HOT!
Wow I went through a really similar situation with the same exact car! I had a 2011 charger V6 and had the itch to get one with a hemi. I started looking and went out and bought one, financed of course at some crazy term, like 8 years I think. My payments were 400 a month. I think you made...

Growing an email list with Google Ads

    HOT! EXECUTION
Get my CPL down, I was spending about $4 per lead so I think I need to make some tweaks to the audience/offer Also create a product to sell to my growing audience, I currently have no way to monetize them

Growing an email list with Google Ads

    HOT! EXECUTION
I love this! I have been doing something similar, only using Facebook ads. I send them to a landing page with an email form for them to fill out, and they get sent a free piece of value. I got dozens of sign ups within a few days and only spent 30-40 bucks. I will say that you do have to...

What are your thoughts on the future of the world and humanity as a whole?

    OFF-TOPIC
If you want to know the future, Look at our past. Technology will keep advancing, and more automation will continue. Read the book "Economics in One Lesson" it was written around the 1940's, and you will find that the author talks about how people hated the loom at first because they thought...

feel like beeing pulled in different directions at the same time, all the time

    MINDSET
For what it's worth, i remember seeing @MJ DeMarco say in a post some where about how he wished he partied MORE in his college years. Youth certainly is fleeting, You have time and you don't at the same time. It depends on what you want, some people want more experiences, and some people want...

I deleted TikTok off my iPhone. Here's why...

    HOT! MARKETING
I've been hearing sketchy things about tiktok ever since it started getting popular. Never had an account, probably never will. I still end up seeing tik toks though, because people rip them and put them on insta, FB, and snapchat. And from what I understand, the app is just one big dopamine...

An AMAZING thing happened to my INCOME when I traded-in my rusty Honda for a Viper

    GOLD! MINDSET
This made me think about what's going on lately with covid. When it first started, I remember every dealership/car manufacturer commercial saying "We're here to help, Get an 84 month loan at 0% and no payments for 3 months." Im sorry? You're HELPING me by getting me into an 87 month payment...

feel like beeing pulled in different directions at the same time, all the time

    MINDSET
I think you have analysis paralysis. I think so, because I've dealt with that, and still do sometimes. I think you're worried that you may choose the "wrong" path and look up at 40 years old and regret it. You have, in my opinion, 15 years more of "youth", some would argue more, some would...
