    OFF-TOPIC
I 2nd the chromebook option. If you want something portable to just browse the internet, use email, and maybe edit some documents Chromebook is the way to go for cheap and reliable. They don't come with a lot of storage but I hear you can get free 100GB of Google Drive with many of them.

Preserving Wealth, My #1 Tip. Don't Get Married! (Or Maybe You Should?)

    NOTABLE!
I have been sitting in this exact spot several times over the past several years, watching the sun set. I came to realize, in this exact spot, that the total number of sunsets you get to watch is fixed and diminishing. I can tell you that I couldn't imagine it without my girlfriend...

Preserving Wealth, My #1 Tip. Don't Get Married! (Or Maybe You Should?)

    NOTABLE!
The point wasn't that a marriage can't last, obviously some do. The point is would you risk a 50% chance of having your finances being wiped out when you can do anything you can being married that you can without getting married. In other words, what advantage does marriage provide? There's...

    Were's all the money??

    MINDSET
Being cheap isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the mentality behind it can be toxic. As mentioned by HugoMoreno is can program you to think money is very hard to come by. I still have a hard time overcoming the mentality. The problem is when you apply that thinking to a business then it's...

Need fellow fastlaners input on life decision

    MINDSET
First of all congrats on knowing what you want to do at such a young age. That alone means your ahead of the game. I've only been to a few college classes so take this for what it's worth, but I have come to realize what matters a lot more than what we perceive as 'huge life changing...

    Were's all the money??

    MINDSET
I remember watching my dad when I was 7 years old put water in our shampoo bottles and shake them up to make it last longer. He also did this with ketchup bottles. We had a cordless touch tone phone but when you pressed the numbers and dialed then put the phone up to your ear you'd hear a...

Why copywriting is a bunch of Bull$h^t and you shouldn't learn it...

    MARKETING RANT
I agree that some copy is now filtered as 'spam speak'. Which is typically a copied version of copy. It's basically a template and people start seeing it as spam. MJ posted an example of this in his 'boiler plate' pitches thread. I think that copy can be useful but to learn it as a skill and be...

Bought a huge house with a 3 car garage and a pool!

    GOLD! MINDSET
Dude, this is unbelievable. You came a long way in this thread and it's great to hear stories like this. My girlfriend is constantly barraging with wanting to "buy more stuff". I've increased my salary by a large amount the past year so it's really made her wanting to purchase more stuff. I've...

Successful Slowlaner Rebukes Fastlane (My Response...)

    NOTABLE! SLOWLANE
From my experience in the stock market it's about as good as your chances with gambling. There are some gambles with much less risk that will reap a much smaller reward. Which basically just keeps up with inflation. There are some gambles with a great return but much higher risk, which...

Instagram Marketing ($100K+ profit, 4M followers)

    MARKETING SOCIAL MEDIA AMA
I wrote up some bullet points as I was making some documentation on the tips in this thread. Figured I'd share it here to help summarize some of the tips brought up. - Add your snapchat name to your IG bio. Also mention to add your snapchat in all your captions - Google CPA networks to...

    If You Were A Moderator

    HOT!
Being able to view watched threads even if they don't have a new reply. I frequently would like to review information I've read previously and I typically mark it 'watch thread', but when I click on watched threads it only shows me the ones with new replies since I've last read them.

    Hello everyone

    INTRO
I'm currently working a slowlane job in the IT industry. I've owned a business in the past that honestly didn't do well but I learned a lot of valuable information. Since I have a slowlane job my current focus is changing my habits. In particular from wasting time browsing the internet to...

First taste of fastlane, goal of 500k sales this year and my plan to get there

    EXECUTION
Great job on the rapid sales success. I know you mentioned it but I would expand as quickly as possible to other platforms. Amazon can shut you down for ridiculous reasons, like a competitor lying and saying your products aren't what they claim to be. Or someone else who got something they...

The Journey of A Young Entrepreneur

    EXECUTION
Hi Zach, If you haven't already I highly encourage you to read The Millionare Fastlane. All of the points you've made in this thread tell me that "you've read the business guru's blogs". Most authors or bloggers that write about business made money off guess what : writing about how to make...

When do I need a lawyer?

    EXECUTION
I used to know a programmer that did some freelance work. I haven't done any but just from seeing their experience I would get a lawyer to look over that much work. I'm surprised you haven't run into problems already, you must have a good relationship with your clients. You can go to legal...

Recommendation for Free FTP client software?

    WEB/DIGITAL
No I use a PC. You just need to make sure you don't install any of the garbage adware that places like sourceforge will sneak into the install. All you have to do is decline it or get it from another source.

Recommendation for Free FTP client software?

Filezilla doesn't have viruses as others have mentioned. Use it all the time.

    Afraid to spend

    EXECUTION
I agree with what many other's have posted but I would reconsider purchasing a home. While there may be up front costs you can get much of that money back as opposed to renting you will never see any of it. Also you could consider purchasing a passive income generating duplex/quadplex and live...
