Anyone using the Wim Hof Meditation Method?

    HEALTH
Never said it was true, however the thought resonates with me. Just curious though: how would you prove this to be false?

Anyone using the Wim Hof Meditation Method?

    HEALTH
It's a form of meditation. Consciously breathing unconsious if you will. I read an ancient proverb/quote somewhere that said the number of breaths per person has been defined up front. You will breathe X times and then you will die. I like this line of thinking so try to breathe as slowly and...

Anyone using the Wim Hof Meditation Method?

    HEALTH
I've changed my breating habits towards box breathing and found this to work very well for always keeping a calm head. Box Breathing I have a dog, cat and girlfriend at home and they all love falling asleep on my chest listening to my breathing.

Your worst entrepreneurial failure... details please!

    NOTABLE!
So the person buying it would be a C-suiter. The person using it would be part the compliance department of a given bank. Quote from Forbes: Some major financial institutions spend up to $500 million annually on KYC and customer due diligence, according to Thomson Reuters. This department...

Your worst entrepreneurial failure... details please!

    NOTABLE!
I spent months designing and developing an online KYC platform for the banking industry. Hired the best talent I could find from Upwork to do UX, front-end and back-end development. Even worked agile by using scrum, complete with JIRA backlog and process. I was on top of everything and made...

Shall I make the prototype myself? / Some good, trusted companies in the U.K?

To add to @Eskil' point: Breakdown your product into smaller components and use pattern matching to identify off-the-shelf components used in other industries that you could use/apply in your product. Good example for this is the story of an entrepreneur in UK who wanted to sell television...

Shall I make the prototype myself? / Some good, trusted companies in the U.K?

Draw up your idea using whatever makes it easiest for you to explain the idea to somebody else (e.g. a word doc, a UI design on balsamiq, or simply drawing it on paper). Find a 3d modeler - you can look on Upwork for this. I suggest you don't pick the cheapest proposal you get but to do some...

Stop telling us what you did. Show us what you achieved.

    EXECUTION
This is a fair challenge. Progress threads have the most value when activities are shared that have been done over a period of time. A retrospective if you will. These posts always share outcomes of these activities. This can be anything, e.g. sharing the outcome of a certain meeting, a photo...

Do you think master degree in entrepreneurship is useless?

    HOT!
I would rate the feedback of a lecturer highly if it concerned lectures. I would not rate the feedback of a lecturer highly if it concerned the feasibility and achievability of a business idea.

Stop telling us what you did. Show us what you achieved.

    EXECUTION
There seems to be a new trend. Lots of progress threads are opened where people share their day-to-day activities. Stop using progress threads as a way to justify to yourself that you're progressing when really you've been procrastinating. Start showing. Stop telling.

Do you think master degree in entrepreneurship is useless?

    HOT!
You need a paradigm shift. This is what you have conditioned yourself with: Go to school -> study -> do the exams -> get good grades. Go to work -> do overtime / go the extra mile -> performance review -> promotion / marginal increase in pay Entrepreneurship doesn't work like this. Trailblaze.

    How to deal with developer?

Get rid off the dev. Take ownership for your role in this issue i.e. spend more time on due diligence when hiring resources next time. Whenever I need a dev, I breakdown my idea into small, containable issues. Either these issues will have open source examples available online (e.g. on github)...

    Why do we keep stalling

    MINDSET
People are trapped by dogma. The school system teaches you to get certificates, complete trainings and pursue other frivolous activities that do not help you in your quest. Just look at LinkedIn. In your example: This would be an excellent activity if your goal was to become a good developer...

Is it okay to get government funding for start-ups?

    EXECUTION
How will more money help? Have you create a product/service that is better than what's currently available? Or do you want to use the money to create the product/service? Do you have a route-to-market to find suitable customers? And do you want to use the money to scale your approach? If not...

    Lack of time?

    HOT! MINDSET
It always amazes me that people are willing to work their hardest to hit a deadline imposed by their boss however fail to impose/enforce deadlines on themselves.
