Yep. Totally agree. I am from Munich and this has shocked people. But also shows how secure this country is in general, if someone walking around with a gun is so big news that it’s in country wide news for days. Of course you always have some bad ones in the police, like everywhere, but all in...

    GOLD! HOT! IDEA
Isn't investigative journalism somewhat like this? We have some big investigative journalist houses here in Germany who are non-profit, do their own research instead of posting what news outlets report, and again and again expose fake news and other stuff, while also sometimes maybe even risking...

Feedback/Advice - Mesh Dating - The Private Dating App

    IDEA
@G63AMG just had a look on your App Store page. All the points you named in your first post - put them into your screenshots somehow. I know what your app does, and how it works and that it won't tell people the user has their feelers out for, that they do, unless they have theirs out for them...

Feedback/Advice - Mesh Dating - The Private Dating App

    IDEA
This would definitely widen the range and allow for more continious use, as your social media followers/followings usually grow more often than your contact list! Yeah, as a guy, and a rather introvert one, I can absolutely relate and the more I think about it, the more I'm sure if this would...

Feedback/Advice - Mesh Dating - The Private Dating App

    IDEA
Let's try: 1. I'm in a relationship, so... but putting myself in the mind of a user, I couldn't see a big reason, as long as this is absolutely true and communicated lout and clear: 2. The contacts for many people are rather limited, what if they checked everyone and no one uses the app, or...

Let's Talk About Subscription Models and Possible Alternatives

    SAAS / APPS
True. So maybe, instead of looking for an alternative to a subscription model, one can shine with a pricing model that’s fair in relation to what the customer gets.

Let's Talk About Subscription Models and Possible Alternatives

    SAAS / APPS
Most software products nowadays use subscription models for monetization. Be it streaming services of any kind or mobile, web and desktop apps. From a producer perspective the subscription model makes a lot of CENTS. As a consumer there are many advantages to it as well - a product who makes a...

A New Path to the Fastlane - App Development

    EXECUTION
A little update. Currently on Day 28 of the 100 Days of SwiftUI. In May - before I got my MacBook and before I started the course - I started to work on the concept of the app. I also created a “prototype” - basically doing manually what I want the app to do - and am since then constantly...

What are your rules for your phone usage (especially social media)?

    HEALTH
Yeah was hesitant to post it because it is from a social media site… but still valuable and I saved it outside in a note’s app for when I want to come back to it :)

What are your rules for your phone usage (especially social media)?

    HEALTH
As I'm currently trying to become more minimalistic with my phone usage - not trying to just not use it, but to use it purposefully - I wondered what other Fastlaners have set as their own "rules" on how they use their phones, especially when it comes to entertainment stuff like social media...

That's why I love Captain Disillusion's videos. He debunks videos many thought were legit, and tells you ways to debunk similar ones yourself. Here's one on an UFO: View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuhkVTJ6A_c

The problem I have with X (Twitter) is that, while allowing other narratives, they as well remove or block posts about the ones they don't like. Same shit, just a different political view. What we would need is a platform that's really open to all views, not just the one preferred by its CEO.

How to add the "Fastlane App" to Your Smartphone

    IMPORTANT!
You can also add a “widget” of the Fastlane Forum to your home screeen. There are some apps that show a website (with refresh buttons and more) inside different sized widgets. The one I use is called Widget Web (iOS).

WebApp - where do you get your first feedback

    SAAS / APPS
There are some Reddit communities for developers where people are happy to provide feedback. Maybe post it in such a sub (read the sub rules before if it’s allowed).

How to Protect Yourself from Fraud

    OFF-TOPIC
Yes, unfortunately. There are many scams targeting people who are not well versed in technology. I‘ll go into some of those as well.
